Israel has, in the past, made the mistake of trying to be reasonable. They fought until their enemy stopped attacking them, and then they stopped attacking back. It's called being merciful, and it's brought them to the current mess.

The reason that Israel wants NATO to occupy Lebanon is because the alternative is for Israel to fully invade Lebanon and take over themselves. Which they don't want to do. So, it's either take over Lebanon, allow Hezbollah to keep throwing rockets at them, or do what they're doing now.

Israel gets belittled when they are merciful, and told to stop when they do what's necessary. It's really sad when world opinion is against them no matter what they do to defend themselves.

Their army's never been defeated by Hezbollah. The problem is that Hezbollah shoots rockets into Israel's cities from southern Lebanon and then slinks back into the Lebanese countryside and cities.

It is the other way around death tolls are mounting up really fast for Hezbollah. Hezbollah has lost over 10 times as many people as Israel lost. And i think Israel has lost only 2 soldiers and no telling how many Hezbollah forces are dead, because terrorist take their dead away to disguise casualty numbers.

Your question just emphasizes how ignorant people are about world affairs.

Somebody hasn't done their homework, have they? Hmmm? Try doing a little research before you ask questions, ok. It's alright, it wasn't a stupid question, it was just uninformed, that's all. Now, do some research and try again when you know something of the facts.
