Then why is it that when one gets put to sleep, say for an operation, that you KNOW AND FEEL NOTHING?

Please explain this and the following questions:

If local anastesia has the power to put the so-called immortal soul to sleep- of how much more of a severe effect will the blow of death have on it?

Does the phrase "immortal soul" or "immortal man" even exist in the bible? If not, where is such evidence?

In Genesis when God created Adam he became a living soul.(Gen.2:7)Also,throughout the Bible, animals are called souls.
The soul is not immortal--that is a false teaching that is found nowhere in the Scriptures. At ezekial 18:4 it tells us that "the soul that is sinning,it shall die." In the book of Acts it tells us: "And it shall come to pass, that every soul which will not hear the Prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people." (Acts 3:23)
When a soul(person) dies, they return to the dust ,awaiting a resurrection to either life in heaven or to life on a paradise earth.

The confusion you have here is that we do not "posses" an immortal soul.....we ARE an immortal soul.

Unconciousness, like when we are under an anaesthetic, is simply that.... a loss of conciousness. This can be partial or complete, either way it is merely a lessening of analytical awareness. Moments of unconsciousness can actually be
recoverd by the individual since a part of our mind continues to record everything that happens, we are simply not analytically aware of it at the time.

Death is merely a more acute loss of recall or awareness.
Memory of past lives can also be recovered in the same way
as moments of unconsciousness.

There is much recorded evidence of this fact.

There are books you could read that deal with the research into man as an immortal soul, and the mind, as separate . The results are conclusive.

"Have you Lived Before this Life ? "

"Dianetics the Modern Science of Mental Health"

Both authored by L.Ron Hubbard who did the research, are 2
books I would recommend on this subject if you are looking for evidence.

The body is only a vehicle for the soul to play the game of life. The soul to the body is like a human to a car just more complex of course. Not all bodies are animated by immortal beings, just like in video games you may play that have several people players their are artificial participants as well. For instance if you wanna play madden football by yourself and have a competitive game you need to have smart programming of the rest of the players (artificial intel) the more real the better the experience. Well most humans are artificial intel as well and are called minions which are animated by the planetary soul, which its path of experience is to animate all other lower creatures on this planet such as animals, plants, insects, germs etc... there are only so many gamers willing to be born into such a difficult and challenging existence. Each night when we sleep the spirit plays on what is called the astral relm, the reason why we sleep because its apparently difficult for the spirit to animate the body 24/7 so you can imagine the body takes a break while we sleep. The only reason why this makes sense to me because of personal experience, without that one just has to use their gut feeling to know if info like this makes sense to them and then do further research.

The evidence is in the heart of the believer. And your question has a flaw, because some people dream while under anastesia. It is similar to what a person does every night, we go to sleep only sleep from the anastesia is drug-induced. I believe that the soul is energy that survives the physical death of our bodies. Our souls go to a place where they share the knowledge learned in that life time with other souls, all who are waiting to be 'reborn'. When the time is right, the soul is again born to a new life time and new lessons to learn. When this spiral of learning and 'rebirth' is done and the soul is ready, the soul then resides with the Goddess and God.

Your conscious mind is not your soul. Your second statement is false, the soul is not put to sleep or suffer the blow of death. The soul is the eternal part of man and will rejoice or suffer through eternity based on the decision you make about Jesus Christ and His death , burial and resurrection. The Holy Bible says that God created man in his own image and breathed into his nostrils and he(man) became a living soul. The soul will never die therefore your term immortal.

Are you the false prophet or just a common devil worshiper?

I believe humans have an immortal soul. That soul is not separated from the body while the body is alive, that would include times when the body is under anesthesia, etc. When the body dies, the immortal soul becomes the consciousness as opposed to the human consciousness. Just my personal belief.

This whole univese is supposedly "only" about 14.5 billion years old. Humans have only been around for, what, not even a million years? All of a sudden as of about 2,000 years ago, "immortal souls" started inhabiting the planet. I'm sorry we all die and we have to make up these stories to comfort ourselves. Best thing is to enjoy life while you can. Living forever sucks too - I mean, think about it. After the first trillion years . . .

You are assuming that a soul directly coincides with the physical body, & is not just a viable component/container of the human body... I believe the soul is everlasting (I am Buddhist) & transfers to different physical bodies after one physical body dies. Anastesia is a medical procedure that blocks the bodies pain receptors, not necessarily "puts the soul to sleep."

While we are in this body, the state of the soul is linked to the state of our body.

When we die, our soul / spirit is set free from the link to our body, and so can exist independently of the body.

The concept of the immortal soul does exist in the Bible. The term soul and spirit are used in the Bible to refer to our immaterial consciousness (which we commonly refer to as our soul).

Feel free to email me if you wish additional detail regarding what the Bible teaches on this topic.

Cordially,
John

I agree, the Bible does not teach an immortal soul (Ezekiel 18:4).

If the soul was immortal, then why do we need the resurrection?

Christendom is full of lies and deception.
