If war demands battle and battles produce death, can the soldiers...our U.S. soldiers...find their way to heaven ? I support their efforts, but am wondering about what will become of their soul.

Oh, my dear child, of course they are. All souls, no matter how tormented or ugly go back to the Divine. I am NOT saying that our soldiers are either, but I'm saying that those who kill are often tormented by what they do. God understands the soul and the soul understands God. It's sometimes Life that gets in the way.

There are so many factors to consider here:
a.) No one who is going to heaven will join the military at this time because they know it would be wrong.
b.) If a soldier asked for forgiveness and stopped being a soldier, he could be forgiven and get everlasting life.
c.) Jesus promoted peace not war. At John 16:2,3 the Bible talks about killing in the name of God today. Might be a good idea to check it out.

Yes soldiers are allowed in heaven. In fact I bet the Lord will have a special place for soldiers who risked there lives for the country and fought so others might live. I feel it is very honorable. I have a fiance who has served eleven years in the army. Both my adopted father and birth father faught as a soldier. Also my adopted brother and my grandpa (opa). I am very honored to have known men who have faught so bravely as them and I respect and love my country.

Ya! Soldiers are allowed. God knows that a Soldier is only doing what he or she is told to by they're supperiors. If one has done something that is a violation in God's eyes. The Soldier can ask for repentance. So, Yes.

If a soldier is saved by the blood of the lamb and is baptized and born and again with the spirit of God and live a holy life that soldier will enter the Heavenly gates.

Killing someone in a battle is not considered murder. If he is a soldier and simply murders someone than he is guilty of murder.

Yes, as long as the soldier has accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and means it, he will go to heaven. Even if he has murdered someone in cold blood but has asked for forgiveness of God and he is a Christian he will also go to heaven. If he is not a Christian and does not ask for forgiveness than he is guilty and will be judged on judgement day and found guilty.

The difference is he MUST have Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and mean it in his heart. It is simple to do by just asking Jesus into your heart and asking forgiveness for murdering someone.

The Bible states to follow your nation's orders. If you are a good soldier and do the right thing you will be fine. I had this same question when I returned from Desert Storm, I was worried that I was going strait to hell. I sat down with a few different ministers and they showed me that I was fine.

Of course Jesus never spoke against the soldiers, he forgave the ones that killed him on the cross,

Jesus healed the daughter of a leader of soldiers, and there were soldiers that were converted.

there is a difference between murder and killing, killing in self defence, or in court ordered punishments or in nations at war are not murder, ( it is bad and I wish it did not happen, but in it, if the war is not justified, then the rulers will hold the sin upon them, not the soldiers that are ordered to fight.

as a soldier who has had the unfortunate duty to perform on the battlefield, several times in different wars, i pray that we are.

remember, the actual commandment is "you shall not commit murder".

the bible (old testament) did not disallow the death penalty for certain crimes. if God allowed that, then you have to accept that a soldier's duties to destroy every man, woman, child and creature with the walls, is part of the plan somehow.
