No, you don't need a passport.

While you're on the plane you must fill out a agricultural form which asks if you're bringing any produce, plants or animals into the state. Hawaii has a unique ecosystem that can be damaged by bringing in contaminated items. For most people, the form is no big deal. You simply answer the questions and give it back to the flight attendant.

Once you land you're supposed to throw out any uneaten produce (apples, pears, carrots, other fresh foods you've been snacking on) that you have in your baggage. There are several "amnesty cans" available.

Upon leaving Hawaii your bags must go through an agricultural inspection before you head to the ticket counter. If you wish to bring home pineapples, coconuts or other fruits or plants you must buy ones that are approved. Just ask wherever you purchase them if they're approved for the airlines.

I've gone to Hawaii a couple of times and I've never had a problem. I was just there in January and my husband went in June for work.

No, because Hawaii became th 50th state in 1959, & is part of the United States even if it is not connected by land, just like Alaska & the other territories of the US like Guam & some others. Aloha & Have Fun!

No. Hawaii is part of the US so you don't need a passport. You only need a passport if you're going to another country.

no, Hawaii is also a state, the lower 48 states are on the mainland. You will need a driver's license, or a state card with picture id (or a school card) something that has your picture on it (and your address). Hope this helps.

I just came back and I didn't need one, just a regular photo ID drivers license. Hawaii is still a state, since 1959.

Yes, there is one possibility; and that is if BOTH the following conditions are true:
1) you are 18 yrs old (or older) AND
2) you have NO other form of photo I.D.

and that's just so you can board the outbound plane to Hawaii.
