I’m fairly new at cooking, and I was wanting to make some pasta alfredo. Or chicken alfredo. Well, I didn’t realize that it was fairly simple to actually just make the sauce. So I purchased some in a jar already made. However, there are no instructions. And I cant find anything on the web. How do I prepare the sauce? Am I supposed to heat it? Do I do it in the microwave right in the jar? Do I do it on the stove in a sauce pan? Or do I just pour it on the cooked pasta strait from the jar without heating and serve?

You can put it in a sauce pan and reduce some of the liquid out of it! It is so easy to make though, and way better fresh... Alfredo Sauce: 1 pint heavy cream 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened 1 cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano Freshly cracked black pepper Chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley, for garnish To prepare alfredo sauce: Heat heavy cream over low-medium heat in a deep saute pan. Add butter and whisk gently to melt. Sprinkle in cheese and stir to incorporate. Season with freshly cracked black pepper. Take the pasta and add it to the saute pan, gently toss the noodles to coat in the alfredo. Transfer pasta to a warm serving bowl. Top with more grated cheese and chopped parsley. Serve immediately.

Hi--WELL.....
If you have already made your pasta you can pour it over in a large sauce pan and stir on low to medium .
OR....
You may put your mixture into the stove with some grated cheese on top and heat until bubbly. Enjoy!!

I do not know what contains into the jar but here is the basics: mix 2 tablespoons of wheat flour into 2 cups of milk and 4 tablespoons of salted margarine or butter (melted first into microwave for 1 minute), mix all and place into microwave for 2 minutes, mix well and if you want it less thick, add more 1/4 cup milk and mix well. Serve over the pasta and shake some Parmesan cheese then some dry basil

Pour sauce in seperate pot; heat slowly, stirring often; do not let it get beyond an extremely gentle boil.

When chicken or pasta are ready, pour over.

Bon appetit
