What are some good ideas for Cummunity Service? I need to have atleast 30 hrs. of C.S.

Is this court ordered or for high school? Well, an excellent place to start at is a local senior center or a senior day care facility. Some seniors actually appreciate a young persons' curiosity & helpfullness. Another place to volunteer (or serve time?) is a domestic violence shelter. There you will meet many different people & come to realize their life might be a little more diifficult than yours.
Yet another place to volunteer some time might be at a children's wing at a local hospital, that is time well spent there. I particularly enjoy volunteering at cancer or AIDS hospice centers, both diseases have afflicted my family, so I can be of some use to them there. Spend time with people who can really benefit from your time & life experiences.

When I needed community service hours for National Junior Honor Society, I always tried to get involved with school sponsered activities like the elementary school carnival. You can also voulenteer at the local homeless shelter or Ronald McDonald house (if there is one nearby).

There are many kinds of things you could do. Soup Kitchens or Food Banks often need help. If you like kids you could do reading to youngsters at the Library or something like that. Hospitals are often looking for volunteers. Nursing homes often are looking for young people to come in and do things----if you like crafts or something like that.
Lots of Churches need babysitting help for events. Maybe you could even find out if there is a family in need (one of the parents has cancer or something) and they need help of some sort around the house......
What are your hobbies? That is the best way to figure out what you might be good at....
