My dog shakes badly. My vet says she has slight anemia. Would that cause the shaking?

Yes, if she is anemic she may be a little weak and also have poor circulation. This could make her feel cool or just shaky from weakness. Keep her cozy and comfortable while she is being treated. :)

Slight anemia shouldn't cause shaking. Fear, anxiety, and hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) can cause shaking. Also, old terriers and Schnauzers frequently tremble a LOT. As far as I know, there is no treatment for it and it doesn't seem to hurt them at all.

Normally it is a neurological disorder that causes someone/or animal to shake. Or it could be something as simple as hypoglycemia. Your vet will be able to tell quickly.

Yes, it can. Why is she anemic? Keep an eye on her gum color, and the color of her nail quicks if she has white nails, so that she isn't becoming even more anemic.
