I really don't think it would hurt anything.

Ummm, why does your cat have open sores? If he had a simple scratch, a little ab ointment rubbed in shouldn't hurt. But any deep or infected wound will need systemic (oral) antibiotics to heal.

Yep! As a matter of fact the antibiotics will be just as effective against the bacteria on the cat's wound.
But im not a vet...lol...ask your vet to make sure, because in addition to antibiotics they also put other stuff in the cream.

I would call a vet first to confirm if the anti-biotic ointment can be tolerated by cats. There are some that can poison them. I don't think the topical is ok but be safe check first

I am not a vet or anything, but I grew up on a farm. I am sure it wouldn't hurt the cat as long as she wasn't licking it off.
You might want to consult a vet about the sores, if there is no obvious cause- like a fight or something.

It might irritate the cat, but I doubt it would hurt anything. Try it on a small sore first to see if there's any adverse reaction. You may need someone to hold the cat down too.

NO, cats clean themselves with their tongues, and anything you put on the cat will wind up in its' stomach! take kitty to the vet and find out what to do!
