If you haven't, it's when someone can tell by the smell of a person if they're dying.
My dad had a 20% chance of living through surgery y-day. My mom and aunt told everyone the day before that they "smelled death". My mom and aunt also found their dad dead one night.
Do you think it's psychological or real?

Oh yeah.. my dad did survive through surgery and he will be alright now.

I think it was just a feeling they felt to prepare themselves for the worse.

Okay--For some instances it could very well be psycological but the reality of the "smell of death" is that when a person is approaching the end they do put off a distinct odor. The person cannot help it nor can anyone close to them--it is inevitable. My mother and my father both passed away from cancer and there was a definate odor of their passing. And others I have known that died in accidents--just prior to their "leaving" they left their scent---so there you have it. An opinion based on experience yet personal and distinct. And as real as it gets!!!

Yes. Working in a nursing home, you know that smell a lot, when it smells up the room, then u know death is close. Some say it is because all the internal organs are shutting down and they release a "scent".

Very real. Smelled with 2 of my grandparents, and my mother-in-law. Glad to hear your dad is ok.

i think it psychological but that's my opinion maybe its a gift
