safe for dogs, not safe for carpet, I highly recommend keeping a very stable diet for your dog, dog's have sensitive digestive systems believe it or not, with my dogs I always stick to 1 kind of food and 1 kind of treats. Watermelon will not hurt your dog, but could be unpleasant for his/her belly.

I think it's pretty safe. I feed it to my dog every once in awhile. Just make sure you give your dog the soft part (sorta obvious, but just saying for your pet's safety), and don't give too much. Some dogs like it, and some dogs don't, so it really depends wether the dog wants to eat it or not too. Also, I haven't ever heard of this, but a dog may be allergic to watermelons...but just be ready to call a vet on the first try! heh. But that's a REALLY low possibility, so you're probably better worrying about wether the dog likes it or not

It's OK, just make sure you wash it down with a beer.
Just kidding! It is AOK for your dog to eat watermelon or any other fruit or veggie. My dog eats blackberry's right off of the plant.
I look at it this way, if they like to eat grass (Most of them do) a little fruit and vegetables can't be bad for them.

Safe meaning non-toxic, yes. A bit won't hurt.
I wouldnt give much as the chance of diarrhea could be great. Dogs are like people, some have a more easily distrubed digestion.
But, if your dog likes it and it doesn't bother him, some is OK.

IN ALL HONESTY HUN, PEOPLE FOOD ISN'T THAT GREAT FOR DOGS OR CATS. THEY HAVE TOTALLY DIFFERENT METABOLIC MAKEUPS THAN HUMANS AND PEOPLE FOOD CAN MAKE THEM SICK. STICK TO DOG FOOD. I KNOW IT'S HARD NOT TO GIVE IN TO THEM,BUT IT'S BETTER FOR THEIR HEALTH IN THE LONG RUN.
