how did things turn out?

People who behave in a passive-aggressive manner tend to deny how angry they really are. They do things to make others angry, then they can blame the other person(s) for losing their cool. The problem with this scenario is that the issue that sparked the anger is never addressed. Someone who has a pattern of being passive-aggressive may have trouble showing their frustrations directly out of fear of reprisal, fear of being humiliated, or an irrational thought that being angry is wrong.

Until the person who is behaving in a passive-aggressive fashion is able to speak more directly, it's difficult to learn to change this behavior.

Passive Aggression isn't a psych or medical diagnosis, it is a symptom of something, ranging from bitterness toward the person who is being targeted by the passive aggression to various personality disorders. It is very difficult to get others to see passive aggression in a person because in many instances, the passive aggression is meant only for the intended audience and nout outsiders. Sometimes the person might not be aware they are acting passive aggressively or they may have learned to behave like that from parents and assume it is normal adult interaction.

Without more information I am not really sure what to say. The best way to deal with it is to set firm physical, mental and emotional boundaries for yourself and let the person who is being passively aggressive know what your boundaries are. Also praise the positives- adults aren't that much different than children when it comes to the need for love and acceptance- or puppies for that matter.

You could also turn it on it's head and act passively aggressive to the person until they get annoyed and have it out with you. Then you can explain to them how it makes you feel when they behave in a similar manner.

My band teacher. He seemed to do ok as long as he makes an effort to take things one step at a time and say what he means.
