if you have a C school Guarentee, then you will get that NEC once you successfully complete C school. what NEC you have will determine where you can be stationed. as a general rule though, right now, all Male HMs go Fleet Marine Force, no ifs ands or buts about it. sometimes you cannot get a secondary NEC until aftter you have hit the Fleet and the command is willinfg to send you.

It all boils down to Needs of the Navy. If you cannot get a C school after Core, than off to the Fleet you go.

Alright, here's how I'm understanding it now. They got rid of the DT's, and made HM's and DT's in the same rate (HM'S) No, you cannot pick where you want to go, but you can pick a preferance on a specialty. One of the preferances is to go FmF (Fleet Marine Force) And that's doing field medicine with a Marine group heard it was good training. That's all I know about it, sorry if that didn't help you

You can fill out the "dream sheet", that is, where you would like to be stationed. you will probably get it, but i for one am glad to have corpsmen around. Semper FI!
