what is your credit score?

Top tier credit is 700 and above. If your score falls there you can pretty much buy what you want on credit.
650 to 680 is ok. You can pretty much get approved for what you want but you won't get the absolute lowest rates.
Anything under 600 sucks and you will likely not get approved for much and you will pay high rates when you do.
In 4 years of car financing the highest score I've personally seen was an 823, although the ranking goes to 900.

On average 720 and above are GOOD credit. It really depends on your definiton. 620 and above I believe is considered aaverage. BUT you must be aware that there is a new score called VANTAGE which basically works like college grades A-F. This score may in the future become more important than the FICO, Beacon etc scores This score is an average score of Transunion, Experian and Equifax.
901-990 A
801-900 B
701-800 C
601-700 D
501-600 F

So the Vantage score may throw the FICO good credit scores out the door.

Most financial institutions run your credit and you get a beacon score that can range from 400 to 800 i believe. If you have a beacon score of above 700-720 you can usually get a very good intrest rate
620-700 is marginal credit, you can get credit but you will pay a higher interest rate.

Anything below 620 you will probably be turned down but if your approved you will have a very high intreset rate.

The scale ranges from 850 down to 350 so anything towards the 850 is the best that you can get. Average is around 700 though

825
A score above 720 is considered to be "good credit," and a score below 600 is considered to be poor.
