using canned chicken broth for a recipe I need to use it in?

I am making a large pot of Green Chili with pork that requires 4 1/2 quarts broth.

Personally, I prefer the knorr bullion cubes, with the cubes you add water. There is also bullion base in a jar you add water too as well. I like either better as you can adjust the flavoring, which you just cannot do with canned broth.

Yes, a chicken bouillon cube is dissolved in 1 cup of water so use that as a measuring guide when adding canned broth instead.

I almost always use them in lieu of chicken broth. The flavor is great. Just remember to follow the directions, so it isn't too strong or weak. Also, bouillon cubes tend to add a saltier flavor, so check before adding any more salt. Hope this helps!

Chicken bullion would have to be reconstituted (whatever the box says, one cube to a cup of water) and then it should be fine. Canned chicken broth might have some fat that I'm not accounting for and it could be less salty than the bullion. Mind that you dissolve the bullion completely if it's in cube form. They don't break apart easily.

Yes ma'am, dilute it in hot water per the directions on the jar! To me it's saltier than canned broth so if your recipe calls for salt I wouldn't add it until you've taste tested.

It is really salty, probably the preserving agent as it sits, um well in my closet longer than broth. I like canned broth better.

in a recipe you can use either, but the cube has more flavor than the bland cans

They're not exactly the same but they'll work fine (with water of course).
