I just got out of a long bad relationship (my 38 year old boyfriend turned from Mr. Perfect to an abusive guy who would hit me and lust after teenage girls) And now to make matters worse he just got engaged suddenly.
I only moved to this town years ago for him. I live right outside NYC and it's too expensive and congested here.
I'm almost 30 years old and am an active girl with two dogs and a career that lets me telecommute from anywhere almost.
I am either thinking about moving back home to the suburbs of Philadelphia or to a totally new location.
Should I start fresh somewhere brand new or move back to Philly ?
What are some good fun places to move to for clean slate ?
I like good shopping, nightlife but with upscale suburbs nearby.
I also like to have nature nearby too. Tired of a totally urban area.
Thanks all

Go across the country to Portland, Oregon. Seriously. The dogs may be difficult to transport, but it can be done. In less than a year my husband and I are going to sell everything but our books and leave Texas for Oregon. There's a combination of urban culture and natural beauty, and the people are amazing! Try a totally different locale before life takes over and you fall into a familiar rut.

I personally would say try moving back home for a bit, but if you rather the fresh start then I know a place that fits your description. Minneapolis, Minnesota. It has a pretty good night life and if you leave town you are right in the woods. You might think to do some research on it.

Go south...Birmingham, AL and Atlanta, GA both have great night life and good southern gentlemen.
