It sounds like you either have a corneal abrasion, ulcer, or infection. You should call your optometrist first thing in the morning and describe your symptoms. If it bothers you too much you could try the emergency room but unfortunately, many physicians and nurses are not adequately trained in caring for or diagnosing eye problems. If it bothers you enough to go, go and then call your eye doctor in the morning.
In the meantime you can try using eye drops such as systane or refresh tears that you can buy at any local store such as walmart/walgreens/etc. I would try to stay away from visine but if it's all you have it is better than nothing. But do not use visine right before you go see your doctor because it vasoconstricts and hides the redness.
Anytime your eye hurts you should call your eye doctor immediately - good luck!

Stop wearing your contacts and go see your doctor. It most likely is a scratched cornea, which can be treated with drops. The cloudiness could be due to a need for a new prescription or even an eye fungus that has been associated with contact lens cleaners. GO TO THE DR.

you might have rub your eyes really hard.. best bet would be to go and see your eye doctor. Or you could try using eye drops first and see how that goes

you could have a sty ( unsure of the spelling) in your eye, or the contacts could be old, I'd call your eye doctor
