should keep to herself then let go of...We all feel we don't have a right to tell her something....because then she may put it on OUR REVIEW>>..but we are tired of hearing about what someone may or may not have done in some other dept...should we just try to block her out or ignore...we are in a tough situation.

You can put an annonymous note taped to the bathroom mirror stating that certain people working for this company do not appreciate hearing gossip from supervisors about people and especially other department personnel etc. etc. that will do the trick.

From her grumblings, you will hear experiences that she encountered, though not always objective, sometimes more emotional subjective.
Listen, some times you may find out more of the other person that who they really are, compare this with your experience. Sometimes, the others simply get a bad reaction to your supervisor for being who she is, but have a good reaction to you.

If you want her to stop, tell her frist. This is very professional.
If she had given you a review target to do, stick to it, measure what you had achieved, to prevent her from rebuting what you had said.
If you comfirmed that she is bias on this review, skip her level, go to higher authority for intervention i.e. your manager / general manager / boss , present your achievements vs your review.

Go to the Human Resources Department and have them speak to her. Her personal life should not be subject of conversation in the work place. As far as putting it on your review, you can always ask for a reconsideration or review by someone over her, her supervisor or Human Resources. Good luck !

I worked for someone like that one time. I finally told her one day - as she was telling me some dirt on someone - that I had a lot of work to do, and that I don't like to get involved in that kind of stuff.

Anyway....she didn't hold it against me......it just didn't work! She would still spill and vent to me.

Do you have a Human Resources department? If so, then you should all go to the HR Director and let them know the situation.

The next time she says something, I would make a comment like, "What would you like me to do about it?". When she makes a reply like she was just venting, you can reply with "Okay, I thought because you brought it to my attention that it was something that was my problem. If you need my help with something, please let me know, otherwise I will stay out of the other department's business so I can focus on (your most recent project)." That should work and still be polite.

Just tell her to shut her trap, and that you don't want to hear the static...Jokingly of coarse.
