is my marriage invaild if I just found out that after 4 years of marriage that the reason my foster father did not preach is because he got caught by the church of God for watching porn and is not allow to preach again. Does that make him not able to preach? or not able to preach, and marry people?

You are indeed married, in the sight of God and all who attended our wedding. Your vow was to your spouse and God. Your foster parent being banned from preaching does not change this.

The church that told him he isn't allowed to preach needs to be whiped. humans make mistakes and i'm sure if you going looking into theres lives they made mistakes as bad or worse than your foster father. the church tends to put it's spokesperson in a narrow walking path and when they screw up they basicly lynch them. I'm not saying a punishment wasn't needed but no church has a right to tell a person they are not allowed to preach anymore especially if that person has repented for there actions. By doing what they did they are basicly telling him your not allowed to praise the lord and there by creating a bigger sin than he did and whos to say your father may be able to have brought more people to christ than the rest of the church combined. as far as your marriage is concerned don't be unless the state pulls his credintials before you were married then it's perfectly legal not sure where you got this but if it was somone from the same church my advice would be not to associate with the people of that church because it's sounding more like a cult.....Remember only god has the right to judge and he will all in due time and to each according to there works.....

That is pathetic that your foster dad was kicked out,Jesus said he that is without sin let him cast the first stone.I'd say you have nothing to worry about unless you know God did not ordain your marriage. Not all marriages are of God just because they were married in a church or by an ordained preacher and it isn't because the preacher watched porn as you say it.

If you have a marriage licence and he was licenced to perform a marriage by your state then you are married whether he is a pervert or not...example...if a priest (catholic) is basically fired by the church for some type of sexual misconduct...everything he performed is valid until the day he is fired....not much different than public office...if the president is impeached...the duties he performed before the impeachment do not become invalid...

Eeww that might be IF-E, I would take your lisence and your application down to your court House or city county bldg. which ever handles marriages and ask them. More than likely they will validate it because a preachers license and a license to be an ordain min?spelling? is different. Just Not sure but they might just because you were lied to and you have been living as man and wife even on tax stuff.

Just because an organization doesn't allow him to preach doesn't mean that his minister's certificate isn't valid. There are many "preachers" who are qualified, but don't have a church of their own.

How on earth did a CHURCH catch him watching porn? That sounds a bit odd to me.

You are married by the law of the land. But you have not been sealed to your husband for time and all eternity, civil law only marries until death do you part. I would say if he teaches the gospel and has repented he should be all set. However, one has to be ordained of God and given authority by Him to do these ordinances. Does he have authority? Pray about this question.

I guess it depends on what point of view you take. Protestant or Catholic?

There are many things that would cause a marriage to be invalid but in this particular case... involving a Protestant minister... I would assume that if the laws of your State allowed him to officiate and signed off on it, your marriage is legal and valid.

The church is being hypocritical. You father just happened to be the one who got caught.

If he was licensed to perform marriages at the time you were married you have nothing to worry about.
