Most of them know the Great Spirit, and they have peace in their heart about their next journey.

I'm Native American, and have no idea where you got this idea. There are many native American Christian Missions, as well as churches. Whether they are Christians, or not still believe in the Great Spirit, some also believe in the spirits of the elements as well. I've heard how some tribes will let the trees in the forest know that some will be cut down, so they will go into shock, and not feel the pain as much. Whites have since found out, that plants, and trees have a type of nervous system. We had, and still have a beautiful culture. I was raised in an adopted Christian home by white people back in the forties. We had our share of bible thumping fanatics back in the early West, believe me., Who thought the only culture that was any good was the white man's culture, yet the whites are now using plants and herbs for healing that we were using hundreds of years ago. We were using ice to lower a fever back then as well. Many guerrilla tactic are now being used by our solders today that our people were using to fight the white man.. So come on , give us some credit will ya? We weren't true savages then, and certainly aren't now.

john 12:32-33 Jesus said that if I be lifted up I will draw all men unto me. He said this about what kind of death he should die. He was lifted up and I believe that all men were drawn unto him. He didn't just die for man he died as man and therefore all humanity was judged on the cross. Adam sinned and everyone born from him was a sinner. they didn't have to do anything to be that they just were, they didn't have to believe that they were a sinner or have enough faith to be a sinner it was something that was set into motion in Eden just like Christ set the curse in reverse at the cross. Jesus came to seek and save the lost. Who was lost? Did Christ do his job or did he fail? I know some native Americans that are closer to understanding God than many Bible thumpers.
Rom. 1:20 "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse."

I don't think God is mean nor do I think he would leave people out just because they didn't have the same opportunities as others. That wouldn't be a good example of Love.

Speaking on personal experience without relying on long-winded biblical references...

As a Native Canadian, which is pretty much the same as being a Native American, since we inhabited this continent together, when borders didn't matter.

Some of our elders believe in a different higher power, but since they are a dying breed, Native's, for the most part, have adopted Catholithism as the most prevalent religion. However, that could've been pushed upon us by the Europeans. Who knows.

Personally, I've heard, learned and listened to both sides, and I'm still not sure what to believe!

First of all, it sounds like you believe that Native Americans no longer exist. I think your talking about the ancestors of modern Native Americans. In that case I would think they are where they would believe they would be when they die. I'm sure many Christians would say they're in hell, since they never knew Jesus.
Most Modern Native Americans are probably Christian, having been converted over a century ago. Where they go when they die depends on how they lived their lives I suppose.

Okay I will attempt to give as well an understanding about this as possible.

The Native American are a very spiritual nation anyway. Although they worship sun, moon, rain, wind, fire the elements and nature as gods; they're actually reverencing God.

stay with me...

In order for anyone to enter into the Kingdom of God you have to believe in Jesus as the Son of God. God has said in His word His Son will not return until this gospel is preached (not accepted) in all parts of the world.

The reason the Pilgrims came to America was for freedom of religion. No doubt they brought the gospel of Jesus with them, because they were deemed Christians by biblical standards. They left the Queen's land because they did not want to ONLY embrace Catholicism. They wanted to worship Jesus and God through the Holy Spirit, not Jesus' mother Mary (bless her though, she needed salvation too).

So Native Americans received the gospel(s). And it has been carried on throughout history in whomever tribes want to uphold the Blood Stained Banner.

Being that they know that there was something out there greater than they were; it will stand to reason they recognize and accept Jesus (those that choose to do so).

Peace Out.

p.s. Amen & Selah...lees sword!

The Bible says that everyone knows deep in thir heart that there is a God, whether they want to admit it or not. The Native Americans knew there is a God. They called Him The Great Spirit. MANY aspects of Indian culture mimics Christianity, including the idea that we God is wanting a personal relationship with us.

God gives the oppertunity for those that never heard the Gospel to enter into Heaven according to their conscience and their heart.

You are so far off base...The Native Americans way of life was and still is based on Spirituality. Everything they do comes in contact, in some way, with Spirit! Hey, maybe, sit down some day and read a book! Suggested Reading: Chief Joseph.

the native americans didn't need Jesus. Before the "christian" white men came, they lived in their land in real peace and actually lived by their moral code. they took only what they needed and they, unlike the idiot "christians" treated eachother well instead of using religion as an descuse to kill people! So they don't need heaven or hell. they were happy to be a part of the earth. instead of destroying it like idiots.

I think Paul answers that in his letter to the Romans (written c. AD 57):

"For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them. This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.

Romans 2: 13-16.

Well ... by your name, I must guess that this is a rhetorical question, but I will press on.

The Christian position with any wisdom says that after death we all will stand before the judgement seat of God The Father. Those who have had the opportunity to receive Christ will be measured by that offering (the one where He died for our sins and his death and redemptive blood may be substituted for our sins), and any transgressions found will be severely weighed in the balance.

Those who have not heard of Christ (and one other select group) will be judged by a different standard summed up in the question: "Are you more sinned against, or sinning?"

Your - and my fellow - Native Americans would be measured in the second court. Many tribes in Africa today fall in this category. It is easy to believe that many people in Communist China fall in this category. Christ is relevant to those who have heard. Those that have not are provided a different standard.

Best of luck whereever you end up ...
