I would pay for stem cell procedures for my child if it was my child's own stem cells used. We all have them and they could be tailored to our individual needs; the same techniques we're assuming will work in the future on embryonic stem cells would work on these too. There wouldn't be any rejection and less risk of surprise side effects. I don't think embryonic stem cells are the answer.

The thing is ADULT stem cells , which are ok with most people ( religions) ARE working to cure disease. There have been MANY breakthrus in adult stem cells

The stems cells from aborted fetuses have not proven so beneficial, Actually they have been a bust. Bot one disease has been cured form these stems cells, yet the liberals keep on keeping on trying to get them to be THE way to go.

I guess that would make abortions look more promising I suppose.

The fact is , they can cry all they want but ADULT stem cell work, aborted fetus stem cells do not

some human beings are misinformed about this. at the same time as a guy and a lady social gathering, like one yet another lots (some may even say love), they have sex. Then, his sperm fertilizes her egg and 9 months later VOILA somewhat one is born! this isn't precisely what occurs with stem cellular analyze. we are no longer taking a fetus and turning it into Frankenstein. we are taking stem cells out of a persons' body and utilising to recreate something (no longer someone). operating example, in Finland, a guy became lacking the better element of his jaw. They used stem cells to regrow his top jaw interior his own body. To me, it is no longer something short of fantastic. tell me, stem cellular naysayers, would you deny your self the prospect to look remotely time-honored by no longer agreeing to regrow your jaw through stem cellular analyze? i'd not, i often is the first to signal up. Brandon edit: For those of you who do not save up with technological expertise, it is been shown that you are able to create a stem cellular with out the destruction of an embryo. it is in basic terms in it is infancy, no destruction of the embryo, yet what do you imagine about that now?

I think people should be shot for not letting this research go forward. They would rather debate the "moral" issue then the issue of life saving cures.

I would definitely pay to heal my child. As a parent it would be my moral obligation to do everything I can for my child so every option would be explored and utilized.

I would pay.
Teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime.
