There is billions of dollars waiting to be made from harvesting babies. Thats the cover up. Those who stand to gain from this are spending big bucks to keep that part quiet.

It's not a lie, he is...
Here is the truth. Stem cell research is still at its early stages and like all big medical breakthroughs, the big dollars the federal govt can provide help this research go faster.
In regard to killing embryo., there are THOUSANDS of unused embryos in fertility clinics that will eventually be destroyed (that means killed and thrown in the trash) anyway. Wouldn't it be better to use them to grow a new heart or liver of a baby born with a defect?

Maybe God will give you some horrible disease so you can get some humanity and some perspective and some understanding. War is moral because it is killing human beings. Medical research isn't moral because it might help sick people using embryos that will YES be "going down" the drain otherwise. Literally, down the drain. Brilliant.

So rather than make accusations, why don't you enlighten us? Write an expose' revealing all the information that is being hidden by the "liberal coverup" and those who want to "kill embryos."
I know this is Yahoo! Answers and you have to ask a question, but it seems that you are one of many who are simply lumping everyone together under the label "liberal" and then bashing them and accusing them of "killing embryos". (Your language, not mine.)
And have you noticed how many, Democrat/Republican Liberal/Conservative or whatever labels you want to (mis)use, who are FOR stem cell research?
"Pleadings from celebrities, former first lady Nancy Reagan and some fellow Republicans had failed to move Bush. He acted after two days of often wrenching emotional debate in Congress, punctuated by stories of personal and family suffering, that had cast lawmakers into the intersection of politics, morality and science"
Last time I checked, Nancy Reagan was not a "liberal."
"Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee and Sen. John McCain of Arizona voted FOR the increased federal funding."
Last time I checked, neither one of these Senators were "liberal".
"I am pro-life, but I disagree with the president's decision to veto the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act," said Frist, a heart surgeon. "Given the potential of this research and the limitations of the existing lines eligible for federally funded research, I think additional lines should be made available."
You might also want to check the House of Representatives vote:

Along with the vote for the Fetus Farming Prohibition Act:

Schwarzenegger gives $150M stem cell loan
Associated Press
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - A day after President Bush vetoed expanded federal funding of embryonic stem cell research, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Thursday authorized a $150 million loan to fund California's stem cell institute, which has been stalled by lawsuits.
Schwarzenegger, a Republican who has been trying to put distance between himself and the unpopular president as he seeks re-election this year, said the state cannot afford to wait to fund the critical science associated with stem cells.
"I remain committed to advancing stem cell research in California, in the promise it holds for millions of our citizens who suffer from chronic diseases and injuries that could be helped as a result of stem cell research," Schwarzenegger said in a letter to his finance director.

I agree. He is only against killing embryos and committing federal spending to the research. Noone is against private funds going toward that research.
