nicely you won't be able to make a guy sense protective of you. the two they do it with the aid of instinct or they do no longer. Being protective is a ingredient of an aggressive high quality. Now once you assert protective are you meaning from threat or from different adult men? Now while you're desiring them to style of be protective from different adult men then that follows alongside the strains of jealousy. The question is that are you finding for? in case you want them to stand up beside you and get closer if a guy comes up and talks to then you definately it is extra territorial. yet whilst they nonetheless hold close back and you're in dating then it exhibits they believe you or no longer that into you. yet once you're in concern like some guy harassing you and coming to you domicile all the time and that they camp out on the front step to end him then it is protective.

You're fighting evolution (doesn't mean you can't win but you've
got a huge fight ahead of you).

Guys protect their women in order to protect their children in
order to protect their genes. Even if the woman hasn't
had any children, they are protecting future children.

Now, we are all capable of thinking, but you need to remember
that there is a pretty strong genetic history pushing against
men here.

Moreover, ignoring protecting genes for a moment - that is
the traditional role of the male. He's bigger so he is more
likely to be able to fend off a predator and he is more expendable
because its easy to produce sperms but hard to bring eggs
to full gestation. It makes sense to have him fight the battles.

That's what you're up against.

Not all guys are protective. Being protective = trust issues.
You can't build a healthy relationship without complete trust in your partner. But of course this doesn't apply for all situations.

It's not that guys feel they NEED to, it is that they want to be able to help you and provide for you, so that comes out often as overprotectiveness.

And sometimes there is jealousy involved in that too, lol
