Just start doing a daily routine. On monday, tuesday, and wednesday do 1,555 crunches, 100 pushups, and run 11 miles, on thursday and friday, do 100 situps, 450 pushups and run 5 miles. On the weekend just take a rest to think about me to lose even more pounds. Keep up that routine and you will be in the best shape of your life.

Meghan, honey - I feel you. It is very hard, for most of us, to lose weight. We can diet, exercise...'think' thin, etc., but it's not going to work unless your heart is in it. If your motivation is a 'promise to someone', then you are going to get a double case of guilt if it doesn't happen. You can try all the diets in the world, and there are some very good ones out there, but you are not going to get the kind of success that you want - unless you do it for YOU. Think about the 'real' reason that you want to lose weight. Perhaps you don't really want to be smaller - there are actually people who don't - really...it's true! Understand this: there are millions of people, who are miserable in reaction to the comments made by other people, who are actually quite happy with themselves. This is the secret to changing your life, body and health - not hating yourself or your body, but loving yourself and all of your parts. Okay, enough psychobabble (I'm not a therapyst or anything). A balance of moderation (smaller portions) and wise food choices (no Arby's) combined with some scheduled, physical activity will make the pounds go away. Rewards will help also: A sweet treat on Fridays, the purchase of a new accessory or maybe a new cd, will give you something to look forward to and make your hard work 'worth it'. Strict rules such as 'always eat breakfast', 'no food after 6 pm', 'a glass of water before eating anything' and 'two raw vegetables with every meal' will produce real results. But, again, some self-examination and learning to be at peace with yourself is the way to start. Here's to you!

Kick up your exercise routine and stop beating yourself up about your weight! :-) It might take a while, but if you try you'll find some sport or activity that you enjoy that will help burn calories and help you get in shape. Try to think outside the box, especially if you are not one for the usual school sports: try ice hockey (I play on a women's league... I never even tried it until I was 28 years old, and was surprised when I found out that I was actially good at it!) Maybe you'd like one of the shooting sports like skeet or trap shooting (which are both surprisingly physical.) If money is an issue, try hiking, biking or even just walking. Every little bit of physical activity adds up to better heath, and a stronger body burns more calories which in turn will help you loose weight even when you're just sitting around.

First rule is to NEVER eat at fast food places. I know its easier said then done; but if you need to eat out, go somewhere you can order soup, salad, grilled chicken or fish or a fresh sandwich. Dont drink anything but a tonne of water and honestly, that will get you started. Once you have gotten into that routine, after at least a month, then you can choose even more healthy routines. Baby steps, hon.

First set a realistic weight that is possible to achieve and work towards it. Instead of cutting out all junk food right away take away a little bit at a time to get used to it.

Just try to eat healthy. You'll be fine. It sucks that you're picked on. I know how it feels. I'm trying to loose a little weight too before school starts.

Don't you think Jesus can help you? His grace is sufficient for you. He promised that he will send the Holy Spirit to guide you and help you and strengthen you in every difficulty. Included in the gift of the Holy Spirit is "temperance" or "self control". With this gift you can be assured that you will be able to solve your problem.
Here are some of the references that I got from yahoo searh results for "weight control temperance"

eat a lot of fruits and vegetables (eat colorful)...eat in moderation..if you deprieve yourself of somthing..you will just binge later...keep a "healthy living" journal. Write down everything that goes in your mouth....and any exercise you do....the key is to eat in moderation, drink water and exercise daily...
Diets don't work..healthy eating does...
also write down why you are eating..is it because you are hungry, it is there, stress, craving sugar or salt.....
people said that you should eat something small every 3 hours..to keep your sugar level up....
good luck...hope this starts you on the right path....

The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:
*1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity minus the Thermic Effect of Food (TEF). A website that explains this formula in more detail and will help you determine how many calories you need to reach or maintain a certain weight is at http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/library/weight/calsburned.htm
Get a diet and fitness calculator that you can put on your computer or cell phone. This will allow you to easily calculate the above formula, set goals, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.
Set realistic goals for your ideal body weight. Here are two websites that will calculate a suggested body weight:
Adults: http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm
Teens/Children: http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/exercise/weight/bmi.html
It is difficult and unhealthy to lose more than one or two pounds per week. There are 3,500 calories in a pound. If you eat 500 fewer calories per day for a week you will lose one pound. If you burn through exercise 500 more calories per day for a week you will lose one pound.
*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.
Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as potatoes) and drink lots of water. Read this article for more information on high GL Carbs:
http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/carbohydrates.html
Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Here is an excellent food pyramid that anyone can follow: http://www.rayandterry.com/html/images/PyramidLRG.gif?osCsid=26a424be471d1337e7c2f105d5c64d9d
*3) Exercise on most days by doing cardiovascular training and/or resistance training activities.
Read a book or find a certified trainer to make sure your doing all resistance training exercises correctly. A great book to buy that teaches you the resistance training basics is “Weight Training for Dummies”. A superb magazine to buy with resistance training routines that will not get you bored is "Muscle and Fitness". Signup for the free newsletter. An excellent free online resource is at http://www.exrx.net/
A good book to buy that teaches you the cardiovascular training basics is “Fitness for Dummies”.
*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.
*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. A superb book to read is “You The Owner’s Manual”. An excellent periodic publication is the “Nutrition Action Health Letter”. A reputable test you can take to measure your biological age is at http://realage.com
Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. Review outdoor air quality forecasts where you live and get an indoor air purifier. Send me an email or yahoo instant message to "gainbetterhealth" if you want an indoor air purifier recommendation and if you have any questions.
*Click on all the source links below to get the full benefit of the recommendations. The answers presented to your health questions are not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health providers with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.

It's sick to see you talking like this. Do you see how the world has made you feel? Soceity sucks!!! Why cant you just love you for you? There's more to you than that pinch of a jelly roll, and whoever is judging you has issues of their own. Love yourself, nobody else will take care of you like you.
