This is not an easy question as you think,
Life is a very short time according to reality, it's kind of a dream, i don't want to go into science but if i do, you will end up having white hair all over your head..
Imagine you're out of this system, under different rules, for instance:
You eat, but you never enter the toilet.
You cut your head off, but you're still alive.
Time passes by, but you never get old.
You don't live with water, O2, or light, you just live.
.....ets.
and you're looking at the world we're living in now, it would seem funny perhaps, weird rules:
- To stick on ground, there must be (GRAVITY)
- You enter the toliet every now and then.
- You get seriously injured you just die.
You will notice that the bodies we're using in our lives NOW, suites 100% with the rules in our zone, life, limits, earth, everything around us, we perfectly fit here, So Life:
Is getting our bodies physically in touch with our rules.
and this is true worshiping, if you also believe in the Creator of this perfect system or rules.
This is the true meaning of life, this is why we're created (to communicate with everything around), this is why we were created:
Allah says in the Holy Qur'an:
Hast thou not seen that unto Allah payeth adoration whosoever is in the heavens and whosoever is in the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the hills, and the trees, and the beasts, and many of mankind, while there are many unto whom the doom is justly due. He whom Allah scorneth, there is none to give him honour. Lo! Allah doeth what He will.
[22.18] The Pilgrimage (Al-Hajj)
Allah also Says:
I created the Jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me. [51.56] The Winds that Scatter (Az-Záriyát)

I looked at this and thought it was my question. I think the answer is very simple to say but very difficult to live. As sappy as it seems it is Love. It is easy to say but again difficult to do. Love is not just trying to act like a flower child on LSD. Real love means taking responsibility for your actions. Love means doing the right thing every time. This means doing the right thing in every situation that we are in. If we do that we will have a happy life.

42. Seriously why does it have to be religous? The meaning of life could just be: We are here to exist! Whilst existing we should be the best people we can be so that everyone can exist together. If choose to follow a diety good for you. if you don't good for you. We also live so that we can reproduce so that there will be more humans, so i guess the meaning of life is really just to survive and exist!

To make love manifest. With out life love would just be a concept in the mind of God. Through life love can exist.

There is only what meaning to life, and that is simply to Exist. Why do bacteria who live for meer hours even tried? What difference can their existence possible make? None. They just want to exist. Cause not existing is not very fun.

What is the Meaning of Life?
--
The meaning of Life, the Universe and Everything... :)
The Christian God indicates that one reason why he created the Universe, was for life to exist, and for humans to exist.
Our Universe is His "art project"; that is why it is so incredibly beautiful. And our Universe is His "scientific and engineering" creation; that is why it is so full of science and engineering, and we are learning this as we crawl in his footsteps via mathematics, physics, cosmology and molecular biology.
Earth is boot-camp for humans to come into relationship with him, and then for our experiences to provide opportunities for us to grow.
We fulfill the purpose for which God created us when we choose to come into relationship with the Christian God (based on what Jesus did for us on the cross)... and then live in daily relationship with Him.
For a brief explanation of how to come into relationship with the God of the Universe, see http://www.godsci.org/gs/new/essence.html
Cordially,
John

To find in life what makes you happy and do it as long as it's not hurting anyone else. You only live once, why live by someone else's rules?

Ill keep it simple :) It tells us in the Bible at Ecclesiastes 12:13 "The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the [true] God and keep his commandments. For this is the whole [obligation] of man." There it is. Our job is to Love God and do what he tells us. :)
