Alright, I'm taking all bets! The distant deadly archer vs. the "so-called savior" of mankind. Keep in mind that Apollo is the lord of the silver bow, has gone toe to toe with Pallas Athena, and can rain plagues on entire civilizations. As far as I know, Jesus can turn water into wine and die. So let it begin, cast your votes!

Jesus...

That fight has already been won.

How many people do you know who really believe in and worship Apollo ? :)

Cordially,
John

Jesus hands down! Do you want to know what He can and will do? He is going to turn the elements (earth, water, air) into FIRE, burn all the wicked to ashes, destroy their breath of life, and the as a finally, wipe out the very memory of them. You can not beat that. Apollo's arrow will not even get the chance to leave his bow, before he in a pile of ashes, and not even a memory any more!

Oh, I thought you meant Apollo the sun god. So I had this Scripture all prepared.

Job 38:31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? 32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons? 33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth? 34 Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee? 35 Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are?

Still, since the Lord can send lightning wherever He wants it to go I would say that would probably trump a silver bow. If you want to argue about whether or not this passage is about Jesus or his Father, how about this one.

Matthew 26:53 Do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He shall presently give Me more than twelve legions of angels?

Twelve legions of Angels to back Jesus up. What can one Angel do?

Isaiah 37:36 And the angel of the LORD went out and struck down a hundred and eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians. And when people arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.

How much do want to bet and what odds are you demanding? :o)

You mean Apollo Creed?

He barely beat Rocky the first time, lost to him the second time, then died in the ring after losing to the Russian guy.

So what makes anyone think he could beat Jesus?

see, I thought you meant Apollo Creed from rocky. Cuz he could kick Jesus's butt. My vote's still on your Apollo.

You should watch the episode of Southpark where Jesus fights the Devil!

Okay you gave your synopsis, here's mine through faith in Christ.

Jesus is the Son of God. He and God are One with the Holy Spirit. Meaning they are all Three in One Godhead. They do nothing separately in and of themselves; yet they can operate separately in different circumstances.

Stay with me...(smile)

In the beginning of time as we know time, God said:

Genesis 1:26

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Stay with me...

So if God created man...who was Apollo? A mythical Greek god. He wasn't real baby. He was born in the mind of man and idolized through Greek mythology.

Jesus did not just turn water into wine, He was in on creating man and the entire Universe:

John 17:20-21
“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

No contest...

Peace Out.

Sarcasm is the attempt of a feeble mind to express itself creatively!

You have no idea what you are talking about so I'll move on to an intelligent question.

we really get some stupid people answering these questions. Also stupid questions. Jesus is God Almighty. You mock him,and he loves you intensely. He loves you so much he knows how many hairs are on your head. He is also jealous of you. He will also forgive you if you just ask. I hope you do,and stop hurting him by saying these things.

Neither. Look up Mithras and Sol Invictus (I believe), and you'll find some very interesting parallels. It may be that Jesus would end up fighting himself!
