Actually, it really is.

What we generally consider "life" is the appearance of "life," and that would make life more of an illusion than reality.

Matter is an illusion. All matter is a product of the mind. That is matter existed first in the mind of its creator before it materializes. Matter is an illusion because it is in a constant state of change and is always becoming something else, something different. Ask yourself what will become of the matter that surrounds you now, ten thousand years from now. It will all have changed into something else, something different. You are not the same person you are now then when you were three years old. What will your body be a thousand years from now?
Life, on the other hand is mental and spiritual. It is everlasting and unchanged by time. Life is constant, static and all prevailing. Life is real it is not an illusion.

Read the book "illusions" BY Richard Bach, he is the author of Johnathin Livingston Seagull,

read Johnathin Livingston Seagull, very good, interesting, and Richard Bach was a pilot, and he wrote this from up high in the clouds,

Do read those, unless you just wanted to ask and not really care for the answers,,

Do you know that the brain makes no distinction between what we sees and what we remember? so who's to say what we see is really real?

We are slaves to the reality of Maya so long as we are willing to accept it. It's that simple, yet we still choose to disillusioned.

To a degee that is correct, we are spirits playing a game in what is called 3rd density . It's much the same way as humans playing a very complex video game on XBOX live etc... except of course beyond most human comprehension. We are immortals experiencing mortality in the pursuit of spiritual advancement, because of the degree of difficulty with memories of true self being blocked and the vulnerabililty humans have to work with the spirit once completing all it needs to advances much quicker, then other life forms in our entire galaxy no matter how much more technologically advanced they are or how much longer they live than us. It's get deep but it's really not that hard to understand once the mind is open and ready to perceive it.

Death is an illusion. We are all born into the spiritual world and eternal life. The quality of that life may vary widely.
