I'm talking about the people who are more concerned with attacking gays and abortionists than 'Loving their neighbors as themselves'

Interesting take...

If it were indeed true that abortion is murder (killing a baby) then wouldn't loving your neighbor mean trying to convince your adult neighbor to not kill your baby neighbor?

Cordially,
John

There is no harm in studying the Word of God if you ask me.

FAQ: What books are in the Word and what are apocrypha?

"The books of the Word are all those which have the internal sense; but those books which have not the internal sense, are not the Word. The books of the Word, in the Old Testament, are the five Books of Moses, the Book of Joshua, the Book of Judges, the two Books of Samuel, the two Books of Kings, the Psalms of David, the Prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi: and in the New Testament, the four Evangelists, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John; and the Apocalypse. The rest have not the internal sense" (Arcana Coelestia n. 10325 or Heavenly Doctrine n. 266).

FAQ: Why different testaments and books in the Word?

"As regards the Word particularly, it has existed in every age, though not the Word we possess at the present day. Another Word existed in the Most Ancient Church before the Flood, and yet another Word in the Ancient Church after the Flood. Then came the Word written through Moses and the Prophets in the Jewish Church, and finally the Word written through the Evangelists in the new Church. The reason why the Word has existed in every age is that by means of the Word there is a communication between heaven and earth, and also that the Word deals with goodness and truth, by which a person is enabled to live in eternal happiness. In the internal sense therefore the Lord alone is the subject, for all goodness and truth are derived from Him" (Arcana Coelestia n. 2895).

It happened not too long ago.

Relatively speaking, the division between liberal and conservative protestant churches in America happened sometime in the mid 1800's. Some believe it had to do with the Civil War between the states but that is not true.
The division was mainly between the baptists however the conflict has poured over into other denominations as well.
The worst part about the division is that the church really needs to have a firm grasp on the truth that you can not have love without law and you can't obey the law without love.
Satan has so twisted the debate between liberal and conservative that neither side would ever admit that they need each other.
God has said he hates divorce yet churches divorce with each other every day. God's heart weeps for his Son because his bride is an adulteress.
Conservative churches pinch their penny's and proclaim you must not do this or you must not do that guilting people into endowments.
Liberal churches lavish resources and permit most any behavior in turn reaping benefactors.
Before I get too depressed and indignant at the church for it's wicked behavior, I will cease and allow you to make your own decision as to why conservatives and liberals (in the church) are different.

This is an excellent point of yours.

In the New Testament, Paul says that the law and the prophets are summed up in the "royal law" that says to love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus said that the law and the prophets are summed up in the two laws to love God and love your neighbor as yourself.

I think the ultraconservative Christian movement is a white Southern bastardization by those who resented the loss of the Civil War in the 1860s and the loss of Jim Crow in the 1960s. Now I'm not putting down all conservative Christianity nor all conservative Christians; the left needs the right for balance, and vice-versa. (Think of 1 Corinthians 12.) But I see ultraconservative Christianity, which has married itself to the Republican Party and to corporate America, as the middle finger of the right hand trying to control the whole body.

You cannot serve both God and Mammon! And it's wrong to try to revitalize a Law whose damning effects were crucified on the cross with Jesus.

I'm conservative -- on most issues, anyway.

I'm Christian, of the Catholic variety.

I'm concerned with Mosaic law.

But I'm concerned most of all about the loving and forgiving nature of Jesus Christ.

So your assertion doesn't apply to me, nor, do I suspect, does it apply to many other people.

Attacking abortionist should be every ones duty-they kill babies for money. Gays need to understand that they can be straight-they are only gay because they have rejected God. This has nothing to do with Mosaic law.

NONE OF THE LAWS OF GOD ARE DONE AWAY WITH.
Mt 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mt 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Mt 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
7TH DAY SABBATH
Ex 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
Ex 31:17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed

"Are there any Christian church homes obtainable that still keep on with each of the rules set forth by using Jesus Christ?" pretty a lot each Christian denomination obtainable claims to easily attempt this. the obtrusive challenge is that all of them cant be accurate and maximum aren't to any extent further everywhere close. From intently interpreting the Christian NT it may look that the "unique Christians" were Jews that believed that Jesus changed into Messiah yet persevered to coach Judaism. gradually gentiles got here into the circulate and it began to bypass faraway from its Jewish roots. by using the third or 4th century it changed into taking off to resemble Christianity because it now exist. As others have noted, the "church" closest resembles what you're searching for for may be the Messianic circulate. there have been others which have resembled it somewhat, operating example the "international huge Church of God" and quite some the church homes which have splintered off of which have a tendency to computer screen the Sabbath and the dinner party and fairs of Leviticus 23 and some SDA to boot. the undertaking I see is that lots of those people take Christianity and attempt to mix in somewhat Judaism and declare they're only like the "unique Christians" yet they under no circumstances take a even as to be certain how inconsistent their beliefs are with the bible. They finally end up retaining on to many Christian beliefs they ought to have thrown out. in case you go with to stumble on the Messianic circulate please be careful. there are countless obtainable whose causes are dishonest and their teachings are questionable. you've some good solutions from both Jews and people claiming to be Messianic, evaluate them intently. Ex Christian.

They work hand in hand, both are a part of God. You can't recognize what Love is if you don't know what love is not. The Mosaic law helps us to define that.

That's very true. Its just human nature I guess. They take the bible a bit too seriously. I believe that god told the prophets what to write. But I like how the DA vinci code says it. "The bible did not fall as a fax from heaven." Meaning that man wrote the bible and it has inherent flaws.
