Much of the Arab League has condemned Hammas and Hezbollah! Is Islam going through a reformation, a recognition of the necessity to live in peace with the rest of the world, including Israel, and coming into the 21st century with us! I cheer! Are there any other signs, not including all the denial and excuses I still see on Yahoo! Answers for terrorist behavior, that Islam is maturing and joining the rest of us? Am I right? Is the revolution on for those of us who love Islam but hate terrorists!

Interesting to see who hates this idea! I never suggested changing the Qu'ran, yet that seems to be what people assumed, and some were offended at the idea of removing the terrorism from Islam. There was a reason my family left Islam before I was born. Terrorism as an accepted tool of Islam was one of them.

I was told by one of the last Answerers to look to the Qu'ran. My family did. Here's what they found:
Qur’an:8:57
“If you gain mastery over them in battle, inflict such a defeat as would terrorize them, so that they would learn a lesson and be warned.”
Qur’an:8:67
“It is not fitting for any prophet to have prisoners until he has made a great slaughtered in the land.”

Qur’an:7:3
“Little do you remember My warning. How many towns have We destroyed as a raid by night? Our punishment took them suddenly while they slept for their afternoon rest. Our terror came to them; Our punishment overtook them.”
Qur’an:33:26
“Allah made the Jews leave their homes by terrorizing them so that you killed some and made many captive. And He made you inherit their lands, their homes, and their wealth. He gave you a country you had not traversed before.”
Qur’an:59:2
“It was Allah who drove the [Jewish] People of the Book from their homes and into exile. They refused to believe and imagined that their strong

Qur’an:33:60
“Truly, if the Hypocrites stir up sedition, if the agitators in the City do not desist, We shall urge you to go against them and set you over them. Then they will not be able to stay as your neighbors for any length of time. They shall have a curse on them. Whenever they are found, they shall be seized and slain without mercy—a fierce slaughter—murdered, a

Islam may be maturing but it is almost imperceptable. Factions will always fight, kill, and die. Sadly, most Muslims cheered 9/11 which is especially sad. I do not believe all 17 wanted to die that day...and they couldn't possible have known how many innocent would die...nor did they care. This is the most disturbing asoect of this religion or any religion that favors death and revenge over doing good and attempting to understand our fellow humans. Distruction over invention and advancement of mankind. For instance...if the money spent on rockets to fall upon whomever they will had been small denominations of money shovelled out of an airplane over a poor arab land it would feed someone for a day. If used to start businesses...create jobs...it would feed people for a lifetime.

I was shocked to hear the comment that you made I will quote " There was a reason my family left Islam before I was born. Terrorism as an accepted tool of Islam was one of them." If you leave a religion for some people behavior I would say you will have no religion instead of judging Islam by its people I would advice everyone to judge it by it book the Holy Quran. Lastly i famous proverb i would like to say to you "Don't judge a book by its cover"

Islam is the Word of God. It is perfect. It does not need to "reform itself". It is the people who should reform themselves. Moslems will never commit the same mistake committed by Christians when they started changing God's religion to suit their changing moods, lifestyles and crazy whims. Very soon same sex marriage will not only be tolerated but celerated as some sort of great achievement by the Vatican.
