If I have this straight, you want to put a VCR movie on to your digital camera's storage media.
First put the tape in the vcr and get it ready to play. Take the audio/video outputs from the vcr and plug in to the audio/video inputs on the camera. Press record on the camera, and play on the vcr. This is assuming your camera can record from the audio/video jacks, not all cameras can.

I assume you want to copy a VHS tape from your VCR to a digital video camera. It would require your VCR or TV to have "AV out" connectors and for your camera to have the ability to accept an "AV" input. Neither of my video cameras have the capability of accepting a TV signal input, however, if your VCR has a fire-wire output (such as the Sony i.Link with an IEEE1394 jack) the Sony digital video camera can accept video input it would be a simple connection.

If you simply want to capture the video as a digital file for your computer, you could buy a video capture card for your computer. Once it is installed, you can play the tape, capture the video to a file on your computer and if you have some editing software such as Movie Maker or Pinnacle Studio you'll be in business

You may be able to get video from a tape into a camera, but why? Cameras usually put video from the subject onto tape.

First, I will assume the digital camera you are speaking of is a digital camcorder, not a photo camera. You first need to consult your manual to see if it will accept video input through its connectors. I've seen some that will accept video to record on the tape from the firewire connection. If your camcorder will accept input that way, you may need to use a computer in between. Capture the video into the computer, then output it to the camera. Video editing software can do this. I like Pinnacle Studio, but Adobe Premiere Elements will do it too.

If your camcorder will accept video from its RCA connectors, most likely the best way to do it is to take the video directly from the VCR into the camcorder. Again the manual for your camcorder will tell you how to set up it up to accept input.

If you do not have your paper manual you can probably get another one online in a PDF from the manufacturer's website.

If you meant video from your VCR into a digital photo camera that also does video, DON'T DO IT. The loss of quality makes it not worth it!
