I wouldn't call them "separatists," if, indeed, proponents of Pakistani control of Kashmir were behind the attacks. Call them misguided, pathetic terrorists who have completely misjudged the inertia of the Indian government.

Because despite the growing anger of many grieving Mumbai residents, there's little chance even the dramatic level of violence will cause the government to get up off their butts and do anything to resolve the 59-year-old tiff over the beautiful land to the North. They are probably spending more on altimeters than diplomatic efforts this year.
