I'd like to say that I am such an unselfish and good person that I would give up the child to save the world, but I'm not, and I would save my child at all costs. I would however consider giving up my own life if it would save many others, but not my child or any child.

Any solution to a problem including saving the world, that includes giving up my child is not worth doing. I'm for saving my child. The rest of the world is not worth saving.

Save the world. Think about it, if you save the child, there's going to be no one left but you and your kid. And where are you going to live? Who are you going to re-populate the planet with?
But if you save the world, then you can find someone else to marry/get pregnant from and have another child. You can always have more children.

I'm betting the ones that said they would give their child up to save the world don't have children. I'm not saving the world.

Boy, not a nice question. If I choose to save my child then there would be no world left, correct? But who could make such a choice?! I guess I would actually have to find myself in that situation before I knew what I could do
