Blasphemy: A contemptuous or profane act, utterance, or writing concerning God or a sacred entity.
No, I do not think blasphemy is wrong/bad, since I don't believe in God. If you people don't like it than too bad. In my opinion, God is like the santa clause that nobody stopped believing in.
Are you some kind of bible thumper *ernest77h*? What did you do, look through the whole bible and find all the god loving verses? Either that or you knew them all by heart, which literally makes you a slave to "God".

I think you're confusing blasphemy with profanity. Profanity is, for example, taking the Lord's name in vain. Blasphemy would be equating God with evil.
One of my old professors explained very well the difference: Profanity is when you say, "God damn!" Blasphemy is when you say it the other way around.

Bad, yes. A sin, yes. Forgivable, yes.
I view blasphemy as speaking out aginst God, cursing God and using the name of God to curse others.
I have done all three and still do form time to time when in distress.
God forgives me everytime.

It is very wrong- kinda like your name on here. just because you don't believe, and you have your right to your own opinion, doesn't give you the right to blasphemy. That is a horrible thing to do.

inherent in the definition of blasphemy is a negative connotation. however, i think that if you do not have faith to begin with, you cannot commit blasphemy.
blasphemous language (expressing disrespect for God or for something sacred) profanation: blasphemous behavior; the act of depriving something of its sacred character; "desecration of the Holy Sabbath" wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn
If you do not hold something to be sacred in the first place, how can you deprive it of its sacred nature?

Is this your new name...eh I liked Osama better...much funnier.
Anyways...yes it is, but sadly we are all guilty of it (we cant control our speech anymore than we can control our toes). But I guess there are far worse things than committing blasphemy.
