What sort of harrassment do you think might have induced a heart attack? Would you be able to prove that there was no organic cause for the MI, such as a clogged artery? Emotional distress can be implicated in heart attacks, but you would have to be able to prove that that's what happened. Perhaps the harrassers committed a crime or tort for which you could hold them responsible. Some lawyers will give a free initial consultation. Call around.

yeah....sounds like you have a tort claim. Intentional infliction of emotional distress, or something similar. It would depend on the situation though...did the harassers know or have reason to know that the plaintiff would scare easily, or had a medical condition? Would a reasonable person realize that the harassment could cause physical harm? These are questions you would need to answer... contact a good plaintiff's attorney.

Not necessarily. It would have to be proved that the heart attack was a result of the harassment. However, there is that good old American saying ... "Anybody can sue anyone for anything ..."

Only if you can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the cause of death was the harrassing and not something else medically related. Otherwise, it is only coincidence.

You may try and collect damages in a civil court. The civil court will determine the person's percentage of responsibility for her death.
