Was Jesus a Jew? Why is Christianity going against the Jews? Why are the Jewish attacked by many ethnic groups? How does the Jews respond to their isolation?

The origin of Christianity started with the death of Jesus Christ who died to save us from our sins. He was the promised Messiah that the Jews had been promised by God through the prophets and written in their scriptures. When Jesus was born of a virgin and then was baptized by John the Baptist right before his three year ministry of preaching and healing, and then was Crucified and resurrected, he fulfilled all of the ancient Jewish scripture pertaining to the coming of the Messiah. The Christians were those who followed Jesus and believed he was the Christ. Also the apostles whom Jesus hand picked as his future priests or bishops, and who would bring the good news of salvation to the whole world after his death, spread the Christian faith in the same manner that Jesus did while on earth, even unto their own martyrdom. Jesus came to bring us the doctrine of love, forgiveness and salvation , which was contrary to the doctrine of fear that the Jews had always known. Jesus was born a Jew into the House of David. He practiced the Jewish faith devoutly because he did not come to put down Judaism, but rather to bring the fulfillment of its prophesies of a Messiah who would come to save Gods children from their sins. Jesus promised that he would establish his Church on earth and that it would be around until the end of time, and even the gates of hell would not prevail against it. He established Peter as the head of his Church and all of the popes have held the throne of Peter in an unbroken succession from then all the way to the present pope. The Church has spread all over the world and in spite of Satan trying to destroy it myriads of time throughout history, it still stands strong today. Christianity is definitely under attack today more than ever in recent history. That seems to be evident by how the media, the politicians and the anti Christians are puting it down, and this is reflected in many of the comments on Yahoo answers.
Now having said that, to answer the second part of your question of where are we going now. Hopefully, through our strong belief that we are the chosen people of God , and by the fact that we are believers and followers of Jesus the promised messiah and second person in the Holy Trinity and son of the Father God; and hopefully by our gratitude to a loving God who has sent His only begotten Son to save us, so that we may spend an eternity in heaven, hopefully we will not falter in our faith and continue to spread it around through example and love. If we pray and do not hate our enemies, and do not mind the wounds when we are persecuted by the atheists and other anti Christians, but rather if we love them and treat them with kindness as Jesus taught us, then we will be instruments of God's peace and the gates of hell cannot prevail and destroy us.

The bible is a book of mythology. There is no credible evidence to support the Jesus myth. But, to answer your questions, we'll assume it is true.

Jesus was a Jewish rabbi. He did not invent a religion or promote practicing anything other than the Hebrew religion. The Roman Empire invented a Universal religion in 325 CE. That pagan based religion became what we call "Christianity" and is based on Pauline doctrine, not Jesus.

Christianity is not based on Judaism (Jesus), it is based on paganism.

Orthodox Jews (the minority) are isolationist and do not attempt to assimilate into other cultures. That always leads to persecution by the majority. Being "Jewish" has nothing to do with it. Being "peculiar" will always lead to that result.

The majority of Jews don't care one way or another, same as the majority of any other group.

The origin of Christianity can be found in a plethora of other religions. Take Prometheus, for example, the original Jesus. Or, Saturnalia, the original Christmas. How about the pagan maypole, the original Christmas tree.

Christianity = Plagarism
I hope that helps.

Yes. Christians are expanding on Jewish ideas (pisses people off sometimes). Jews have all the money. Jews build a kick butt army.

Origin of Christianity... as soon as Jesus began to have disciples it began. They are a whore of themselves because of all the aprocrypha and bull theyve put into catholicism and how the protestants get to choose what they want off the plate of spirituality.

you can thank paul for the establishing of religion

the original twelve followers of jesus were called apostles for good reason, they were apostate towards the jewish religion...jesus did not talk religion, he spoke of spirituality...then along came paul the lawyer and made some kind of complex religion and we call it christianity and we know that our god is better than everybody elses god...especiall the jews...but, wait a jminute, isn't the jewish god and the christian god one in the same...so much confusion, especially when there are those who say that jesus is god

jesus came and made things so simple: treat others the way you would want to be treated

Love the Self

then along came paul the lawyer
then along came paul the lawyer

and the christian religion was born, thanks to paul

Yes, he was a Jew, but the Jews turned against him because they didn't believe he was the Messiah. Actually, I think they are still waiting for the Messiah to come. That is why they believe in God, but not Jesus.
