My point is people say miracles happen daily, so why only to some people?? Why does it seem the drunk driver is the only one to survive after killing maybe 5 others??

Free Will and an Imperfect World is why there is suffereing. Giving people the freedom to choose also allows non believers the freedom to get behind the wheel drunk. The glory is that when believers die they live in eternity in heaven, non believers don't.

My mother-in-law was a classic example of suffering. She suffered sexual abuse, physical abuse, alcoholism, numerous health issues including cancer three times and lived meagerly on a custodial helper's pay check. She finally succumbed to cancer two years ago. The blessing is that I know in heaven she is truly cured and her suffering was a strength to many who went through only half of what she went through. Because of her she inspired many more.

There is a lot of suffering, and will be forever. From a Christian point of view (I'm ordained and pastor's wife going through Seminary right now)...if you look at the history in the Bible with just Israel, there is suffering, and God relieves it. Look at Job, did he do anything wrong, nope. We lost our daughter in 2003, and it sucked real bad and I thought my world was going to end, but my faith got deeper after that tragedy. Now I am dealing with a brain tumor during my pregnancy (due next month) and have been through radiation and chemo, I consider myself a good person, I volunteer, teach, and help out at church. I think that everybody goes through something when God puts it in their life. Good luck finding your answer.

Ecclesiastes 9:11 says that "time and unforseen occurance befall us all." Things just happen to people, it's not God's fault. They may be in the wrong place at the wrong time. God does not cause evil things to happen to people, it would contradict what the Bible says at 1 John 4:8, "God IS love."

Because it's all just random, natural events, there are no "Big Daddys" up in the sky watching over us all, there is no life after death, and there is nothing "supernatural".

Or maybe, there really is a God, but He doesn't care enough to save babies from cancer, pious people from dying in horrific accidents, or enough to stop lunatics blowing up innocent people.

Ther are things we have to leave in God's hands. That maybe to simplistic of an answer for you. But sin did enter into this world and its total irradication will be when Jesus comes again to defeat the enemy of our souls in a final earthly battle.

Because some believe that it's gods way of sending a message.....like Hurrican Katrina.....yes that was gods wrath. So god killed a bunch of people. Was god mad? Throwing a fit? If so he sounds like a 5 year old.

I actually asked a priest about this and his answer was that god has his own plan and everything comes right once we die, which personally i thought was a lame excuse, but there you go
