Somebody complained that church was becoming plagued by these SMUTTY CLOTHES, and I thought that maybe having churches that just WERE SMUTTY would allow them to congregate and worship as they see fit. It would also allow people to have BETTER DRESSED CHURCHES. Everybody might end up as a winner in that deal.

segregation and division......now those are some great priciple that Jesus would support....NOT.
Welcomming, acceptance, tolerance and loving people for who they are and where they are is what Jesus taught and practiced.

Who decides what is "smutty"? Obviously cleavage and mini skirts may be out of place in a traditional Christian church.....but other than that I say deal with it. If it's really bothering the majority of the congregation then make a rule or talk to the people who are offending.

I just went to a new church recently, and my religion is very conservative. I was shocked to see very inappropriate dress. A young lady in a string top and a short, SHORT, skirt. She was to make matters worse, quite attractive and firmly built. Like most males, I am a pig, and while not only do I enjoy this pretty much anywhere else, it was completely out of place. Strangely I was not offended, though I did have a difficult time paying attention to the homily.

Smutty clothing in church is not only bad taste, it is bad upbringing. Be respectful; you think God or Jesus wants to see your funky boobs or butt?
Also -in the ancient middle east, the temple of Ishtar was famous not only for it's shamanic priests, but also for the so-called temple prostitution. Yes, it was a temple thing. It was about fertility and showing honor to the goddess of fertility, Ishtar.

First of all church isn't a fashion show its a place to worship God. SO Manny people a afraid to go to church because of hypocrites God said give me your tired your weak and you hungry not your best dressed list

They already exist - temples to satan himself. Walk into any bar (especially the sleazy dives), strip club, meat market, or sex-based business. And you're right. There is a winner - satan.
