No, it wouldn't offend me at all. I would think it quite beautiful that he would take the time to say thanks for his meal, me being religious myself.
Which reminds me, I need to give thanks for my meals more =(

What point is it that you are trying to make? I think you are confusing the issue of public religion.

In this scenario it should not offend anyone, he is practicing his own religion in a way that is private and sacred and no one else's business.

To make a different scenario... if he spoke up to try to gain the attention of all in the restaurant and decide that EVERYONE should do what he was doing with him, then this IS wrong. The basics of this scenario is what people have tried to force the public into that many are rightly offended by.

And yes, if he just decided he wanted to intrude and start putting his beliefs on you, yeah it would be offensive.

Not at all. His doing that in no way impedes anyone else.

Now if he wanted to debate the only way I would find that offensive would be an intrusion of my time. When I dine out I rarely ever do so alone it is always with my husband or other family members, occasionally friends.

Ahh... the beauty of America, everyone so accepting, I say let him pray, dance, sing or whatever as long he is not hurting anyone else.

As for the debate, I'd love it!

As long as he doesn't push it on me, I have no problem with it. It is his constitutional right to do so.

And that goes for all religions NOT JUST CHRISTIANITY. You guys are not the only ones who pray over meals.

No. I wouldn't even be offended if it were a man or woman of any age.

Why would anyone be offended? As long as he's not forcing his belief on anyone else, let him do as he likes.

I would not find that offensive. It would only be offensive if he pestered me to pray with him. I would have to then determine which god or goddess he is praying to and whether or not I want to pray to that Diety. If he is praying loudly and flailing his arms about, it could be distracting and irritating, but that is unlikely.
