I have no comments for the questioner but you responders...
bikeguy: a fetus can feel pain and process it in the brain for the majority of its time as a fetus. You would probably, even as a fetus, try to avoid pain.
csucdartgirl: How many cloned humans are there?
Emily: A fetus isn't a human life EXCEPT as defined through the violence against women act. Since the constitution strictly prohibits one group of citizens from being afforded extra protection under the law from another group - then it cannot be women alone who are being afforded that protection under vawa - it is woman and baby.
just_ine_credible: You said 'unless it's his kid, he has no say' Not true. If it is his kid he also has no say. Of course this brings up a semantical problem... you just informed him in what appears to be a very intolerant manner, that it's not a child - it's a zygote. Then you said... unless it's his kid... you must mean, "Unless it's your zygote..."
supergrumpers: Abortion IS illegal for just that reason - just not in America. It will become illegal again in the United States as well.
Clara: Don't even know where to start... it sounds like you have formed an opinion based solely on NOW rhetoric rather than scientific evidence.
derekjw72927: The brain of a fetus is formed at six weeks.
auntb93: You talk about other options being more readily available... In many states a girl can walk into the hospital, fire station or police station within a pre-determined time of her childs birth (without father approval I might add) and say, "Here, I don't want to be a mother." and promptly sign away any responsibilities that she has as a parent. How much easier should we make it? Not prosecuting for tossing it out the window?
For what it's worth - I am neither Christian nor Republican so make flames appropriate. :)

What? A fetus is not yet a full person, can not think, talk, breathe, or really feel on it's own, so therefore it would be the mother's choice. And besides, at the beginning of everyone's life they are a fetus, so, yes I would stick with the same answer. Because I wouldn't know the difference.

But I have been a fetus; we all have! Of course I would continue to argue that, however much we may not like the idea, it is in fact the mother's choice whether or not she wishes to be a mother. It used to take illegal surgery; now that surgery is legal and therefore safer. But it was still her choice, even when the risks were higher.
"Choice" does not imply which choice is advocated; only the reality that she does, in fact, have a choice to make. If you make adoption and other options more readily available, with fewer strings attached, more women who are not happy with being pregnant will elect to bring the baby to term. So if you are pro-life, be pro-opportunity to choose, and not force a particular choice (namely, abortion) on a girl for economic reasons.
I noticed, for example, when I was at Dominican Hospital in the emergency room that they have a prominently displayed poster promising that they will ask no questions and make no comment if a girl wants to drop her baby off with them to be adopted. That is, she can be anonymous, which is important in many cases.

No, I'd be dead, so how could I? What kind of a dumb question is that? Do you actually think you're coming across with a point of some kind?
But I'll tell you what: If I was born due to my Mother being raped, or born to a Mother addicted to crack or given up for adoption and never know my real family - yes, I'd rather have been aborted.
Remember: abortion is not murder. If it were, it would be illegal.

Yes I would. I wouldn't want to be born to someone who didn't want me. I also wouldn't want to be raised by a bible thumper.
I'll stick with Pro-Choice.
BTW, I had been a fetus. Nearly all humans have, except the cloned ones.

What an idiotic question as a fetus I had no or little brain, so why not suck it out with a vaccuum cleaner type object, lol.
ps I support Abortion, but only for the enjoyment of Killing of Unborn Babies and not for Stem Cell Research (that's wrong!). lol

A fetus isn't a human life, and does not get any protection until it is born. A girl's rights are more important than the rights of anything living off her body.

My mother was given the choice of terminating me for medical reasons and I have to say that I think she should have, obviously I would not be typing this but hey I don't think she needed the long hospital stay and possible death, which would have left my two sisters without a mother.

yes, I would. Why would I want to be born to a mother or parents that didn't want me? I know all the blah about adoption, etc. but the lingering doubts and wondering still continues.. There is something about knowing or thinking you know that your own blood familly did not want you that will haunt you to the grave.

Fetuses can't answer stupid questions like this...so it's of no consequence.
It's NOT a child until it can survive on it's own...it's a ZYGOTE!!! GET OVER IT!!
Besides, I am completely PRO-CHOICE...I made my choice...and he's seventeen now!! So bugger off!!
Besides....you're a GUY...it's NOT your body!!! Unless it's YOUR kid...you have NO SAY!!
