XXXXXXXXXXXXX the wedding can consist of as many and as little participants as you'd like. I was married 13 years ago. It was the preacher, my husband and I and my best friend and her husband. It was the perfect wedding. Still on our honeymoon. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

You do not need Maids or Groomsmen. If you do decide to have them, you can have as many as you want, 1, 2, 3, etc. In some states you also do not need witnesses. Check with your town hall or a Justice of the Peace for that one.

Yup - absolutely.
I hope so anyway! I'm getting married in March, and we're not having a bridal party - just me and my husband-to-be. It would have been nice to have bridesmaids and groomsmen, but we're trying to keep things simple and inexpensive. Bridal parties add a lot of expense and additional logistical hassles (clothes, cars, who pays for what, etc), and for us, our close friends live interstate and overseas. So it makes more sense for us not to have any.
At the same time, bridesmaids and groomsmen do help out a lot, but our friends have already offered to still help us out on the day and in the lead-up -- they're still our friends, even if they don't get to wear a "special" dress on the day!
So, I say, you can do whatever you like. It's all about you and your partner anyway. Good luck with it all - I'm sure it'll be a great wedding!

There is definitely no minimum as long as you pick someone to be a witness - they don't have to stand up with you or anything though.
Standing up there alone would be more than fine - there are a few things you need to think about though. You'll need someone to hold the rings (maybe the officiant can do it) and someone to hold the bouquet (maybe your mom in the front row?)...other than those types of things I really don't think that having bridesmaids and groomsmen are necessary. Good luck!

YOU CAN DO IT SOLO!!!!!!
My husband and I had a huge wedding planned...with all the bridesmaids and groomsmen. We decided 2 months before the date that we were going solo. It was awesome. No one was upset and our family and friends loved it. It is entirely up to you. I would do it solo if I had it to do all over again!
Oh yeah, TN wedding chapels are great for this. No witnesses needed and they are very nice weddings. Everything from flowers to the pictures are included in the packages. Check out www.chapelatthepark.com. Beautiful chapel with a Christian wedding service.

You can do whatever you want. You don't need a maid of honour or groomsmen. BUT...you must have two wittnessess for your wedding, so as long as that's covered, you're good to go. Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

It's your day. You can have it any way you want it. People get married without maids and groomsmen all the time, especially the ones who go to the justice of peace.

All you need for a wedding is a bride and groom, and someone to perform the ceremony, and a marriage license. Oh, yes, and a witness or two.
If you really don't want attendants, don't have them. Or, you might compromise and have one maid or matron of honor, and one best man.

The best wedding I've ever attended had no bridesmaids or groomsmen. Go for it! Keep it simple and less stressful.
