one of my cats did.....used to carry around a stuffed animal with him everywhere he went ( even buried him with it; had him put down to luekemia).....my other cat hated cat toys she prefered the twist ties off the bread....empty prescription bottle with 2 pennies in it and my sons baseball hate

No, not all. Depends on the cat and the toy, try a few different things to see what your cat likes.
One of my cats only plays with a fabric ball with crinkles, the other
two will play with almost anything- ball, paper, catnip frog, etc.

some cats are Divas, they will not take what you offer, but pick their own toys, while most cats are happy with store-bought catnip-filled things
my cat loves the exciting smell of junk mail, so I'll take a letter out of the envelope, roll it into a ball and toss it and she will tear it up.
once she's done with it, I'll throw it out - she gets a new free toy every day
basically, your cat will be happy if you give her the attention, not just put a boring toy out there

All cats have a variety of personalities, so they won't all like the same kinds of toys

i had a cat that did not like cat toys but would play with the top off of milk jugs

No my cat hates cat toys but loves to play with my hairbands,water, bowls, breakables.

some !!!!!!! u might not believe this but a cat favorite toy is a grocery bag they love the way it makes a lot of noise when they climb into and out of it!!!!!!!! my cat has a lot of themmmmm
