Anything is unhealthy if you use too much of it. Even water. IF you dont smoke more than a couple of cigars a month, you should never see any health problems from it. Remember that they are to be enjoyed, and as such should be treats and not a part of your daily life.

Lots of stuff is unhealthy. Smoking one cigar is about as unhealthy as smoking 3 -> 10 cigarettes (depends on if it's a cigar, a cigarillo, or anything inbetween) because obviously they are thicker, and take longer to smoke, more smoke reaches your lung. If you do, try not to inhale, you'll be in tears from pain. The thing is, in moderation not much isn't too bad, nothing super wrong with smoking a cigar during a special occasion or anything. =P

Like everything else delicious, cigar smoke contains carcinogens and smoking them may result in cancer. Cigar afficianados generally end up with more mouth and throat cancers, rather than lung cancer, however, as they tend to savor the smoke as they inhale it into their mouths, rather than just taking the hit into their lungs. But still, nothing smells better than a really good cigar.
