no, and I believe this because I spent 7 years as an Atheist.
Humans created God,dess in our own image, and since we judge, then so must god, dess. And if you are judging someone because of something they did to betray you, you'd want a fiery place to stick them in...
We created the devil to be a scapegoat, so we wouldn't have to be responsible for our own actions, how many times have you heard, "the devil made me do it.."...?
there is a part of ourselves we must stomp out, yes, it's the little bit of devil in us all. That's all addressed in the path to enlightenment... Blessed be.

The Devil does exist as Revelations tells us.
Revelations 12:9 The great dragon was hurled down-that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
God did not create the Devil as an evil angel, rather at the time of creation Adam and Eve as well as the angels had a free will and they were able to choose to do the will of God or sin against him.
2Pe 2:4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment;
We no longer have a free will, we are born sinful and we cannot choose to do good. It is only by God's undeserved love that he creates faith in our heart, although some choose to reject the love of God.

Most religions agree (if I remember right), that Satan was 3rd highest in the heavenly world. An archangel. Probably enthroned over the earth. He decided he wanted the worship, or some of it, that was entitled to God. He deceived the human pair by saying God was a liar and the couple would not die if they ate the fruit. That in turn born forth the desire that Satan was enticing, and the couple sinned, and Satan could then accuse that humanity does not want to worship God. Anyway I can go on, but I think you got it from here.

Some people do not believe in the existence of a personal devil calling him a medieval invention designed to scare people into the church. Others imagine the devil to be dressed in a red suit complete with horns, cloven feet, and a long dragon's tail-standing in hell, tormenting folk with his pitchfork. Both these views of Satan are false. The devil is no joke, he's real and he is danger.

Yes he does and god created him as an angel but then the devil turned on god because he wanted to be just like him and have the same power ..... now he keeps him around to test us therefore he will determine who lives forever in paradise and who will be destroyed.

First, God created everything and everyone. One of the first things that God made were the angels. There were 3, MIke, Gabe, and Lucifer. Then one day Lucifer decided that he was better than God...so God kicked him out of heaven and made him live on earth. His name became Satan. Now he is the "king" of the earth and trys to get people to join his team (BTW: his team loses in the end but most don't care about that.) He has recuited demons to help him and you wouldn't even believe me how many he had if I told you...but trust me there is at LEAST one in the room you are in right now.
One more side note: Lucifer was the angel of the choir so now that he is on earth he has taken over the music "department" to try and get people to be on his team.

Yes. God created him for the same reason He created you and me.......For His Glory. Read the Book of Job. Even though Satan rebelled and was cast down from Heaven, God still uses him as a pawn to do God's will. God allowed Satan to test Job, a righteous man, to glorify God. And God was glorified and we were made to glorify God, yet we fail that unless we are spiritually reborn. God wins, God always wins. He is an awesome God!

Satan (the Adversary) does exist... however he was not always Satan. At one point he was Lucifer... an angel of light...
God created him for the same reason he created the other angels... to serve him (unlike us, who he created to commune with). When he took it upon himself to assume a station other than the one appointed to him, that's when he was cast out.
And so you're wondering, why would he do that if he knew what was going to happen... simple...
parents often know what their children are going to do in given situations... like when my grandmother used to put cookies in the cookie jar on the table... she knew I would try to get into that jar... but that didn't stop her from hoping I wouldn't.
Take that to another level and you'll see it's not outside the realm of possibility for God, as our Father, to know what is going to happen and still hold out hope that it won't.

like all things God created the devil good. his name was lucifer and he ruled over the earth in the dateless past because God gave it to him. He used to be one of the high angels, but then he siinned and led a rebellion against God to exhalt his throne above God so God sent him to hell where all the rebels go and destroyed the earth and made it again for man. satan made man fall because he's evil and is jealous of man and God and now God just has him loose to test how loyal men will be to God but will destroy him at the end.

"It has been believed heretofore in the world that there is one devil that presides over the hells; that he was created an angel of light; but having become rebellious he was cast down with his crew into hell. This belief has prevailed because the devil and satan, and also lucifer, are mentioned by name in the Word, and the Word in those places has been understood according to the sense of the letter. But by "devil" and "satan" there hell is meant, "devil" meaning the hell that is behind, where the worst dwell, who are called evil genii; and "satan" the hell that is in front, where the less wicked dwell, who are called evil spirits; and "lucifer" those that belong to Babel, or Babylon, who would extend their dominion even into heaven. That there is no one devil to whom the hells are subject is evident also from this, that all who are in the hells, like all who are in the heavens, are from the human race (see n. 311-317); and that those who have gone there from the beginning of creation to this time amount to myriads of myriads, and every one of them is a devil in accord with his opposition to the Divine while he lived in the world" (Heaven and Hell n. 544).
