my best friend has a girlfriend but he kissed another chick he felt no connection wit this other girl it was just a kiss he still is very much in luv wit his girl i was just wondering if u thought this was this cheating on her???

Especially if they are in an exclusive relationship. He should be keeping his lips to himself, what if the girl he kissed has an infection, now he's gonna give it to the girlfriend. The guy needs to tell his girlfriend about the kiss even if he believes he wasn't cheating, it was wrong. It bothers me, and is very disturbing to see how many people answered "no". People today are not taught about relationships and what they mean, I feel sorry for everyone who answered "no" because they will have a hard time with relationships all their lives with that attitude.

In most cases, a kiss is nothing. To expect absolute fidelity in younger (teen) men or women is too much to ask for. It's the intent behind the kiss which is important. If he had "no connection" with this other girl, why did he kiss her?
I would say, let this one go. It was one kiss, not intercourse. It's not cheating. My definition has always been, if you share your heart or your orgasms with someone other than your boyfriend/girlfriend, youre cheating. He did neither in this case.

A kiss is never just a kiss. You don't kiss someone just to be kissing. There has to be some feeling there to begin with for you to want to kiss the other persone. Wich leads me to answer your question. Yes it is cheating, if he loves his girlfriend so much than he wouldn't be haveing feelings for or kissing other girls.

It's cheating. Minimal cheating but cheating none the less. Why did he feel the need to kiss another woman to find out if he would feel a connection with her? That's the real question.

Not having feelings toward someone or not feeling anything does not constitute not cheating.
I know people who've slept with other people, but didn't feel a thing for that person except a sexual attraction. Sorry but your friend has definitely cheated. And if you don't believe me, ask his girlfriend what things she'd consider as cheating, I'm sure she'll tell you that what he did is one of them.
My advice: If this "friend" is you..tell your girlfriend. Always keep it honest!

Regardless of how you word it, it is cheating, specially if you need to ask. Any time you feel the need to ask, you already know the answer but are just hoping someone will say it is ok. There are lots of ways to cheat. If your actions will cause the other pain - and could have been avoided - its cheating. Next time your friend finds himself up to bat (so to speak) remind him that it takes a real man to walk away. No one says it is easy.

it depends on your definition of cheating. my definition is when someone is unfaithful to their partner in any shape or form. Kissing i believe is as intimate as sex. well can be and if he kissed her regardless of the fact he still loves his girlfriend is a tosser. he should not done it in the first place and if he still loved his girlfriend then when the thought of kissing that other girl came to his mind he would of quickly erased it. my advise to his girlfriend is find somebody else.

Cheating requires possession. A duty of faithfulness. To what extent is your best friend owned by his girl? What duties has he promised to undertake as her guy?
Without duty, there is no responsibility. Without possession, there is no cheating. Period.

Yea i do consider that cheating, and he truly cant be that in love with her if he is fulfilling subconscious needs to kiss another girl. if your in love you don't want to kiss anyone else......p.s you don't have to say your friend.
