Those are considered "general" symptoms, but what I would ask, is, is the person having a fever? Also, where are the cramps located? This person could very well have a severe infection of some sort but more details are needed. If the person is having these symptoms PLUS a stiff neck, sensitivity to light, GET TO THE ER IMMEDIATELY as it could be meningitis. Either way, it sounds severe enough to see a doctor as soon as possible.

Food poisoning, exactly. Probably Salmonella, which is commonly got from eathing chicken that was not fully cooked. (Though I once knew a child who got it by playing with turtles and then putting her fingers in her mouth.)
I had Salmonella once. It was SO horrible!!!!
I really felt like I wanted to die.
Luckily, I kept passing out. I slept for like 36 hours, only waking up to vomit or visit the toilet.
Watch this person carefully, and make sure she does not choke on her vomit when she passes out.

I would say food poisoning, that happened to me when I had minor food poisoning, and I got better once I barfed like three times and layed down for a few hours. But I did not totally black out, you should take your friend to see a doctor right now I think.

Make the person go to a doctor. There is no way anyone here can diagnose this on-line. Call an ambulance now.

Has this person been to a doctor? That should be the first stop...especially if you look at a lot of answers posted on here.

Listen to tooreal76, get off your duff and dial. If not, get your friend into the car and head for the nearest ER.
