My hair is naturally really poofy and sort of frizzy. I straighten my hair everyday. Whenever I go down the beach, and am out on the boardwalk at night... my hair tends to go POOF. It gets just as bad as if I hadn't straightened it. Hairspray and straightening spray doesn't work for me. Does anyone know of any products that will keep my hair straight when it's really hgumid out?

Wax. I have the same issue... I usually tie my hair in a tight bun if it looks like it's gonna be one of those days.

You should not have to flatiron every day. I think you are doing something wrong... I flatiron my hair and put the wax-based stuff in it, and it stays straight for about 3 or 4 days. My hair is nearly "afro-curly" in its natural state, so I know you can do what you want.

I live in Houston and its extremely humid here. I use ION gel styling mist. It won't weigh your hair down and can be used on all hair types!!

try shampoos and conditioners made to clense it. striaghtening only prtects the hair if the air around it isnt humid or moister-filled.
