If you haven't had anything happen to you to make you sad lately, then its a bit harder to figure out. Have you had these sad feelings before? If so, did they go away on their own, or did you have some type of treatment? Everyone has some down times, but if they are lasting longer than two weeks, you may be depressed, and just because you can't pinpoint a reason, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. If you have a school counselor or trusted person to talk to, that might help. Take care

Is it something that happened? Your not being very clear. We need some kind of clue...Is it your family? Your friends? Something that happened?
If your sad just all the time for no reason.. Go see a doctor it could be depression. Do you not enjoy your usual activies? Do you have issues sleeping? Eating?

regular episodes of sadness, tearfulness, or crying
hopelessness
increased irritability, anger, or hostility
persistent boredom or fatigue
low self esteem
feelings of guilt
inability to concentrate
acute sensitivity to rejection or failure
loss of interest or pleasure in previously enjoyed activities
social isolation, withdrawal
difficulty with relationships
physical illnesses associated with stress (headache, stomachache)
ditching classes often, even when your friends aren't
school grades tanking
loss of appetite or constant hunger
too little or too much sleep, increasing fatigue
alcohol or drug abuse including marijuana
self-injury or mutilation (cutting, burning, biting)
discussion or thoughts of suicide.

Go to a doctor if you feel you have any of those. They can better inform you and possibly get you help i.e. therapist, medication etc etc
Good luck =\
It sucks being sad. Especially for no reason at all.

If you don't know why, then its depression caused by a brain chemical imbalance. Look up Serotonin:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serotonin

when this chemical is out of "whack" in the brain, we all can get depressed. However, a doctor (general practitioner) or psychiatrist can diagnose this and give you proper medication to correct the imbalance and correct it. Also call your local County Mental Health Clinic or County Health Clinic and ask if they have a psychiatrist you can see on call, they usually base it on "pay or salary" so that its quite affordable for you.

Good luck!

Garden variety manic depressive. Search for a vocation that keeps your mind off yourself while challenging the senses. A lion-tamer for example.
