Being a virgin has had the "bad thing" hanging over for as long as I can remember, and I turned 13 in 1992. Why being a virgin ever became "a bad thing" is beyond my understanding. People should be teaching that being a virgin or abstinence is ok, sexual intercours is not a mandatory thing in life. Self pleasure on the other hand is, otherwise you will start dreaming of it and have a messy situation.

Anyone who says being a virgin is a bad thing just wants to make you not a virgin anymore. They were in this huge hurry to grow up and learn about sex and how much more complicated it has made their lives, and they want to make sure NO ONE is still enjoying a sex-free lifestyle, so they pressure you by telling you virginity is "bad".

It's peer pressure, guerrilla style. I know how tough it must be to not be like everyone else in school, but unless you're a lemming, who WANTS to be like evewryone else? Embrace your unique spirit and if you don't want to have sex yet, then don't have sex. Any young man you are attracted to, if he cares for you, he will respect this and wait.

Boys have been trying to lose their virginity to girls who want to keep theirs for time immemorial. Today's society is all about sex: It's on TV, the movies, magazines, newspapers, etc. It's so pervasive the only time you even hear about sex on the nightly news is when it's some totally perverted story, such as a man taking a child, or a teacher sleeping with one of her students, etc.

On the other hand, when you are ready to take that step, make sure it's with someone who respects you. Your first time doesn't have to be crummy, it can be beautiful with a person who cares for you. And please use protection, and then have a gynecological exam afterwards to make sure there was no damage.

Being a Virgin now a day's is a great thing. Folks may make it seems a bad thing simply because they may think you are missing out on something. It is all Hollywood my dear. Hold your head as high as you can and be proud to be a Virgin. Never let anyone make you feel bad about your virginity. In this day and age that's a good thing. Be Proud.

Well, being a virgin isn't a bad thing because when you have sex your body is giving the most important thing to a man. So, I would suggest saving your virginity for someone special.

Being a virgin is only a bad thing if you think of it as a bad thing. While others might not understand your life choice, as long as you think that it's the right one for you then that's all that matters.

I dont think it is actually. I have no idea why people freak out about this anyways. Being a virgin just means you havnt done anything yet, meaning you havnt CAUGHT anything yet. Watch the 40 year old virgin if you havnt. Not everyone things "OH GOD AVIRGIN RUN FOR THE HILLS!" I am a virgin and I am just fine with it.

Some people think it's cool to be having sex. It makes them feel more grown up I guess. It's not a bad thing....at all. It's something to be proud of I think. If you are a virgin still, be proud of it and don't give it away just so you can fit in or just so you can say you did it.

TRUST ME!! It's not bad. Most girls hate the fact that their friends are still virgins because the're jealous!!! You can never get virginity back. Once u let someone take it, it's gone FOREVER!! I waited until I was 20.( I'm 21 now) and i should have waited longer but I was fell victim of peer pressure. My first time was awful. SEX can be overated!!! keep ur head up. Don't let anyone tell u it's a bad thing. How can being pure be bad? Boy's will say "It's not that big a deal" but girl, It's the one of the biggest choices u have to make. Don't blow it. It's something you might regret for the rest of ur LIFE!!!

It's not a bad thing. It is noble. It's just unpopular with the party type culture, which is sad in itself. Afraid of being labeled as uncool amongst peers or unable to resist your own desires usually leads to a loss of virginity to some later regretted partner. You cannot ever get that back.

The only people who think it is a bad thing are those who want others to be in the same boat that their mistakes landed them in. Stick to your guns...guys that matter love it when you protect something you can only give away one time. Save it for the right person who will appreciate it for life and don't waste it on some no count.
