I am currently reading the Bible from cover to cover and have come up a lot of questions concerning things that are mentioned it. But, my main question thus far is "Why does God always attempt to kill, harm, and/or prevent his messengers - the people he has assigned certain task - when they attempt fulfill his orders?"

Examples come from the Biblical story of Moses as found in the Book of Exodus. The specific passages that I am speaking about are 3:16-18 and 4:24-26; and the Biblical story of Balamm in the Book of Numbers passages 22:20-22.

The mean reason that I am reading the Bible is because I have grown weary of relaying on the interpretation of others.

Contrary to what you prefer to believe, my inquiry is a legitimate one. Rather this question is based on the facts as presented and written in the Bible. And, I am fully aware that one cannot come to truly understand the Bible and the Jewish and Christian religions if one reads the Bible from cover to cover like a common work of fiction bought from the store or checked out from the library. I spend several hours (sometimes days) pondering over passages before asking someone to aid in my understanding of the passage.

god doesn't kill the messenger. he tests and gives people free will to decide what path to take. looking into old and new testament the story of job read the whole book on gods hand on his people. the teaching of faith is strong in many of those stories that helps understand why they go thru the many events. there is a on line free bible called e-sword.net that you can download a full bible in different languages and also reference material that helps and the best search engine for bible search you can back track a scriptures. also has dictionary and original language reference except for Aramaic. it has Hebrew and Greek. my husband and i used that program during our christian college time and still use it. it also can be put in a lap top or pocket computer. reading the bible cover to cover is a good thing. one recommendation is to read slow and take your time. some people can read many directions in a single scripture. not everyone interprets the bible the same way. when a scripture refers back to another bible person like Jesus does in many area. look back on what he refers too. Jesus was born to teach the scriptures of the old testament in there proper understanding as well as add not replace biblical law. not to re write or delete the teaching of old, but also to fulfill the old testament. don't allow anyone to tell you to ignore the old testament, for without the old his coming would not have been known, without the old many of his teaching wouldn't make sense for he is teaching the old in better understanding terns.lord be with your heart as you read his word.

When the Lord appears like when He appeared to Moses on the road near the inn, as if to kill Moses, the anger actually is representative of man's anger to the Lord. In other words, Moses was providing the opposition to the Lord forming the Jewish religion. Old Testament anger is man's anger reflected. This is on purpose or else those people will not listen to God.

What?...why does GOD attempt to kill the messenger?.....Oh Boy, where did you get that LIE?.....you might be reading the Bible from cover to cover but you're not reading the Bible with SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING!....You need to go to church and get into some serious Bible Studies so you can SPIRITUALLY UNDERSTAND THE GOSPEL!, otherwise, you'll be carnal minded and understanding foolishly concerning spiritual things!...I suggest you seek out An Anointed Pastor/Minster, after all, that's why GOD Put Them Into His Ministry! (Eph. 4: 11- 18)

God doesn't - it's the people who choose to step outside of God's will & do that (free will).
