I there a portable device, on the market, that runs on batteries or is rechargable that you can run over the page of a book, a newspaper article, etc. and make a copy of it?

I've herd of these hand held scanners back over 5 years ago but never seen one nowadays

there are portable scanners. Once scanned it can easily be printed.
I don't know of a scanner/print that is portable.

yes there is its like pen you can scan each line and copy them on the printer .. check in www.maplinelectronics.co.uk
