No pain,no gain-but don't overdo it. If it was your first time in a while than you need to sort of ease yourself back into it,otherwise
your muscles will be too sore after the next workout. Increase
the number of sets and repetitions a little bit each time and be
patient, doing too much at once will only be counter-productive-
at least until you're used to working out again.

You should wait until the soreness fades. You need to give a little time to let you muscles rebuild. My advice to you, if you want to prevent this from happening next time you work out, is to take a shower right after working out to that point. While you are in the shower turn the water on cold for a count of three and then turn it back. This "shocks" the muscles and prevents the soreness later on. It sounds odd, but trust me, it works.

You're probably sore because you haven't exercised in a long time. You can go back to exercising tomorrow, but just don't over do it. It will get easier and less sore as your body gets in shape. Don't get discouraged by the pain. It's actually a good sign. Pain is a good sign that is, unless you're excersicing wrong and hurting yourself. Just know what you're doing.

wait for the soreness to go away. still do some situps or whatever but if you try to exercise again you won't get much done and probably find another reason not to go again. pain only lasts once so if you keep it up you won't have to worry about it again.

you may desire to take a relax day each 5 or 6 days besides. you may desire to additionally stretch extra and doubtless evaluate some nutrition C. additionally, reckoning on what style of workout, you may desire to evaluate switching between distinctive varieties of workout: eg, weightlifting sooner or later, treadmill or bicycle day after immediately. do no longer use the comparable set of muscle groups 2 days in a row once you're doing potential coaching/weight lifting. Your physique needs relax to construct muscle.

You can go work out, just lightly, and don't work the abs (which is sorta hard because any excersize you do effects them). Work lightly on legs or something.
